QUOTE(Maniacguys @ Sep 12 2010, 01:14 AM) no doubt NHC pickup is abit slow....but when 3rd gear come in, the car start flying edi......but the pickup is not a problem as most of the time is city driving and not racing, so the steady pickup = not that much fuel burn during pickup..... Pickup is important especially if u do alot of city driving cuz you need to stop alot and when you step on the gas, you wan to be able to blast away.my poor NHC backside got bang by dunno which ******* who dunno how to drive 1 when i park my car somewhere......few scratches on by body kit and the a little bit damage right below the number plate there.... |

QUOTE(tehoice @ Sep 12 2010, 10:52 AM) so u're the kind of ppl must smoke ppl 500 meter or 10 lamp post away on a traffic light from zero speed? So this low torque at low rpm is annoying. I rather they spread the torque equally over the gears instead of keeping it all to the higher gears. And bcuz of this low torque at low rpm, going up even a slight slope requires some effort. You really need to press the gas hard then onie the car start moving faster up the slope. The only time this car excels is on long straight highways whr the engine is quiet and the car is stable and theres torque at higher rpm. Overall after 1 year 4 months with the car, would say everything else is ok except the engine and the gearbox which in my opinion is really crap. Cant even chg gears properly This post has been edited by kevin23: Sep 12 2010, 12:40 PM |

QUOTE(mcliong1 @ Sep 30 2010, 11:35 AM) Yes,the loose seat thing is very common.I am also having it for the past 1 year already.Sent to SC,the fella so call fix it.But when it came back, still the same. I think its the design fault. It only happens when u go over bumps and when your butt leaves the seat. |

QUOTE(1282009 @ Oct 9 2010, 09:17 PM) U must be kidding me .... the car cabin is noisy when idling. Why? .. bcoz I can hear outside noise very clearly (car/bike passing by). If driving above 130kph, wind noise & tyre noise is unbearable. The engine noise is however very very quiet even at that speed except during pick up. NHC engine noise is noisy when accelerating from stationary. But after that its ok.The main noise is coming from outside. The soundproofing is really LOUSY! Every single motorbike i can hear as though i never close my window.Very very loud. |

QUOTE(coppycop @ Oct 11 2010, 08:45 PM) Anyone with NHC full tank can oni goes up to maximum 340km or less? Yea i am one of them. Dont expect this car to be super fuel efficient like the vios. Its not at all. 340 km is normal for city driving. Dont expect 450++ unless you travel long distance on north south highway frequently. All those ldp, fed highway not counted cuz too short distance. i complained to Honda twice yet it is still the same.. Dont bother complaining to sc, cuz they cant do anything. Honda cars are powerful at high revs so yea they suck petrol too even at low rpm. Unlike vios whr no matter how you drive, you can almost guarantee at least 400 km per tank. Sometimes just for fun i hentam until 4k rpm for a short distance, u can actually see the meter dropping very fast! QUOTE(Thrust @ Oct 11 2010, 10:10 PM) I feel getting around 340km is ok considering I am always stuck in traffic. The NHC is usins 16" rim & has a fuel tank of 42liter only. If you were to travel on highway, that's where NHC shines. Super fuel efficient!! But no doubt la the power at high revs is amazing. Thr was this old altis 1.8 going speeding uphill on sprint highway. So i just slam the gas and i easily overtook him. Lol.. BuThis post has been edited by kevin23: Oct 13 2010, 08:43 AM |

QUOTE(lIMlIM @ Oct 13 2010, 05:53 PM) agree. You see, alot of you people dont get it.This NHC is very difficult to drive at low RPM.no heavy acceleration, keep the rev between 2-2.5k rpm let the car to speed up slowly. coz low end torque very poor. dun let the gear to down shift on slightly up slope road by keeping the same throttle pedal pressure and let the speed drop. if not the gear will down shift for 2-3secs the shift up again. by doing that i can get full tank 600km on 90% highway even i cruise at 120-140km/h. all thanks to the 5th gear and our engine are design for high rev. but if 90% city driving can get 300-330km only so i think our honda city should change name to honda highway. haha For initial pickup, meaning from stationary ,to get the car moving you have to press quite hard for the car to move.If you press little bit onie, the car will hardly move. That is when ppl from behind will horn you. It is not the same as the vios where you just press a little, and it will move very fast. Its easy to keep low RPM. And you say keep the rev between 2-2.5k.Yes you can do that on a nice straight road,if the road is uphill just by a bit,I can confirm with you that you need to rev your car more than 3k RPM to get it moving.Cuz if you do 2-2.5 k RPM on an uphill section, the car wont freaking move. So its easy to say maintain 2-2.5k rpm here in forum. But in real life driving, its almost impossible unless you are driving on clear straight highways everyday which i doubt very much. So yes, thats how i hv been driving my car for the past 1 year 5 months, and yes since the first day i got my car,the highest mileage i got was 500km .That one oso once only and after so much of effort like driving super slow .But then again,it was because i went outstation and i was driving on straight highways most of the time. The other times in and around KL,i have managed around 340km-360km per tank. And this oso is not really hard revving yet.Just normal driving. Not slow, but average. If I start revving,i can get onie about 300km per tank. And yes, after I press the pedal hard hard,I can see the petrol meter dropping quite alot. And no,my car does not have any problems.Sending to SC will not solve the problem. So just live with it. |

QUOTE(prataboy @ Oct 17 2010, 01:01 PM) i think those are just "claiming" figure, i doubt that in REAL, they really achieve that.... Bro what they mean iby 100% city driving cuz highways like ldp, kesas , federal highway are all within the city. Unless u go outstation take nse then onie consider real highway. for real FC, u need to reset the trip counter to 0 when u pump full at petrol station, until ur next pump to see how much petrol u really used, use the distance traveled in trip counter divide by the no of litre petrol u had utilize in order to get the real figure... A lot of them "Claim" that they are having FC of xx for 100% city drive.... pls la, i dun think in malaysia u can really achieve such thing as "100%" city drive? how u can do it? in malaysia, everywhere here and there also got small/big highway, i dun believe u dun even need to pass by any of them.... unless u go around ur house only..... stop the full shit..... and in real the claiming of 4xxkm/litre got no evidence or support or proof AT ALL, all just say only... who can confirm that it is real..... |

QUOTE(prataboy @ Oct 17 2010, 01:28 PM) like that also consider city? then can u tell which highway is built in other places but not in city one??? Yeap. North south highway is the real highway. Long distance then only can see the diff. Highways like i said are within the city and jam most of the time. Tell me what is the diff driving on ldp, fed highway, nkve than driving in city? Its the same. Hardly mk a difference. First of all, they are jam up most of the time, and are very short distance. This post has been edited by kevin23: Oct 17 2010, 01:37 PM |

QUOTE(SheepMekk @ Nov 16 2010, 07:02 PM) Does it solve the noise insulation issue? Or majority of the noise since you stated 'very quite' What i meant is that the tyre is quieter than the stock. Interested, as our car's insulation is badd But insulation is same. Can still hear the wind noise at high speeds. >140km/h |

QUOTE(MoneyChaser @ Nov 18 2010, 04:36 PM) Hey Kevin , I am not sure what the NHC stock Conti model is.Is it Comfort Contact? If thats the case, then the grip is not that great, but its quieter than mine.Mine which is SportsContact1 is more for grip.Is this the default NHC Tyres.. My 2 months old Honda City comes with Conti tyres. Added on November 18, 2010, 4:38 pmhello... just had a flat tyre on my 2 month old NHC .... using the Conti tyres.. Poked by a nail Anyways ... changed it with the spare tyre.. need some advise... is it recommended to do a Wheel Alingment and Balancing... Mine is wider than stock by 10 mm or 1 cm.So its more stable while cornering. |

QUOTE(W.ROOK @ Dec 28 2010, 12:17 AM) Come this Mid Jan, my City will be 2yrs old. Get ready to change it soon.Noticed that somehow the car battery is weak as twice the car struggled to start. Quickly sent to SC and change to a new battery and it's FOC cause within the warranty period which is 2 yrs. I changed mine within the warranty period as it was weak.Even the radio couldnt start up properly. It had sound coming out,but no wordings on the panel. But now hardly a few months into the new battery,it feels weak again. The radio problem is happening again. The wordings sometimes disappear with only the sound. This is a sign of weak battery. And sometimes its hard to start the car. Looks like I have to change the battery again. My car is 1 year 7 months.Means in less than 2 years I am gonna need to change my battery twice which i feel is bad. |
