Yup! No shock that people can can clocked 600km. At first for me 0-140kph needed to pump more petrol. Later on during the return journey, really could feel the car lighter, and 0-150kph can be achieved even unintentionally.

Someone posted a picture of the ring-like-light back then, but it was bought in PENANG. Where are you from? Would like to install that myself as well.

so simple theory.........most of the time u step accelerator only and little brake, why going down hill most of the time brake of course requires more fuel....... blink.gif  blink.gif  blink.gif  blink.gif  blink.gif

Huh? Are you sure? hmm.gif
It's uphill. Isn't it obvious you need to pump more fuel to get the car moving? And pumping more petrol means higher FC.

It depends lah. How well u chg gear in s mode and hw you press the gas, its always better to press hard than to press slowly which will drink up ur gas.

But in d mode, it seriously drink alot wei goin uphill!
*
Well, on E spec, drivers are able to engage to S mode and paddle shifter. What about S spec then? D3 uphill and D mode downhill for both spec?

whats the average mileage for city driving u all getting?

mine about 300km

been wondering in S mode how high did you guys manage to rev up 2?

i see around 4k rpm the engine so loud like want to blow up d lol
*
I suggest you don't get distracted by the sound. Honda engine are built to rev. Furthermore, 4k RPM is still low, considering the peak torque is only achievable at 4,800RPM. Don't worry, buddy.

1282009, It's normal. No worry. Your engine is cold.

Anyway guys. Went Honda today. My RHS's sun visor fell off while I was trying to unpin the left side and pull it to the side. In the end, the whole thing fell off. Luckily still under warranty. At first they keep making excuse that's it's all fixed, and after pressuring them a little, they willing to change for me. Formen earlier on advice me to change, since the plug is loosen. Component quality now a days is really...... rclxub.gif

Change to another branch, dude. That SA not trust-worthy. I got around RM2,000 worth of discount.

I'm sure the people around here probably got more.

Every morning when I start my car, the RPM will shoot up till 1800. I think it's perfectly normal. When it's hot, it will only go up till 1k.
*
It's perfectly normal. NHC is just a more ''sensitive'' model. That's all tongue.gif

There's more complaint in 5G compared to 4/4.5G. I wonder why rclxub.gif

Added on September 10, 2010, 9:22 pmBtw, guys. Just to share my experience after driving both the 4G and the 5G. Yes! The pickup is a bit rough in 5G. But trust me on this. Just step on the accelerator. It's rough because of the close ratio between the 1st and 2nd gear. POWER STARTS COMING IN 3rd.

You will be amazed of the pick up. It's even better than the 4G. I just tested on both car side by side.

Like tehoice said, Be grateful for what you have. Nothing is perfect. You need to find a balance between FC and power. That's all icon_rolleyes.gif
Afterall, we just want the best for our car thumbup.gif

U sure better than the 4G? iDSI or V-Tec? Just wondering smile.gif
*
vTEC. Some of you might disagree with this. But the power in after 3rd is greater in 5G. At first the 4G was in advantage, but after awhile, the 5G was leading 1 car away. Well, but there's always flaw in all these comparison (driver, launching etc). Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that. 5G pick up is not as rough as people thinks smile.gif

doh.gif obviously no lah. But a good pick up gives you a sense of satisfaction and its a joy to drive. Seriously driving the nhc in those small small housing area roads is a nightmare. Everytime you stop and you step the gas, you can feel like the engine is out of breath. And during this period, can see the petrol meter gng down very fast.

So this low torque at low rpm is annoying. I rather they spread the torque equally over the gears instead of keeping it all to the higher gears.

And bcuz of this low torque at low rpm, going up even a slight slope requires some effort. You really need to press the gas hard then onie the car start moving faster up the slope.

The only time this car excels is on long straight highways whr the engine is quiet and the car is stable and theres torque at higher rpm.
Overall after 1 year 4 months with the car, would say everything else is ok except the engine and the gearbox which in my opinion is really crap. Cant even chg gears properly
*
My reason of wanting to have better pick up? To catch the next traffic light before it turns red. Everytime the pick up is so slow, the traffic light here turns red when I was around 50m near it doh.gif And I have to wait ALLLL over again rclxub.gif

Probably I want to install it too.

My F/C metre reaches 12.1km/l after that 500km trip.
Guess driving on normal flat road is much more economical than going uphill everyday.

For those who is interested in looking at the new White City in flesh, head to Galaxy Motorsport, Sunway. There's 2 of them which is always there. Might be able to give a rough idea of how it will look like.

hi all, i'm new to this thread...i'm planning to get this new honda city....
since you guys are the owners.....is it a good car to buy....compare to other cara in same segment series....is this i-vtec engine fuel consumption is economical or fuel sucker!....is the service charge expensive or more then less as proton service center price range....
your comments are most needed.....
ciao...

IMO, NHC is a very nice car. I'm reviewing it generally, and not based on the assembled process and quality of parts etc. The parts is of course not as good as what they used to be. I've been replacing a few parts, although only months of driving it. If you're thinking of NHC, why not consider FORTE as well? Test drive both cars, and you'll be able to have a clearer picture.

Some people commented NCH is not as powerful and not as fuel saving etc. But it's really worth the money you're paying for. After all, it's the driver that matters. As mentioned above, test drive both cars and see which one you're more connected to smile.gif

What's the weight of NHC S Spec 15' rims? Have the urge to change rims now.

Should I change to a lighter 15' rims or try finding for rims about the same weight as the S Spec 15' rims?
