what cooling are u using? the cpu temp show by asus software is not the core temp, it was the temp sensor from motherboard around the processor. the temp show by hwmonitor are the real temp of your processor, it read from the sensor inside the processor die, the temp will easily goes up to 80c or more if u continue stressing it. beside that what test are u choose at prime95?

QUOTE(gn9746203 @ Jun 12 2010, 08:56 PM) Sorry about that pic = = I am using TT blue orb for my CPU and a few fan in my casing.... nothing special.... anyway i will restart and back to default setting first since it is melting....anything wrong with my setting ? why it is so hot.... For the stress test think is 2nd option.... I am new to prime95 also and the test running just now is primenet something i am not so sure... Any comment Hope my CPU is not on fever Added on June 12, 2010, 9:28 pmPicture resized ~ Added on June 12, 2010, 10:00 pmLots of views but no reply Just run stress test with original setting it goes to 68 C OMG.... the performance of blue orb so LOUSY ? I am TT Blue orb IIblue orb is just a little better than the stock cooler, and it dont cold down a quad well, maybe lousy than the stock one on quad.. u shall get those with heatpipe such as hyper tx3 which around rm60 and will do much better than this, if budget not a problem for u can try TRUE which is damn good for quad so u need a proper cooling and it will get u up to 3.2 or 3.4ghz easily..

QUOTE(gn9746203 @ Jun 13 2010, 01:14 AM) so you think my setting is ok ? I am very happy when i made it to 3.0ghz I get blue orb that time because i was modding my pc, that time i am not a hardcore gamer yet and blue orb looks nice from the loading vcore at 3ghz, it look very good if it stable because 1.152v at 3ghz can consider low. a proper cooling u can goes up to 3.2 or 3.4ghz around 1.25-1.3v which is consider very low at 65nm core die.
