I've asked the shop keeper before i bought my 42ZV600E , he said that the sharp led tv the display panel is actually build in Malaysia, that's why the price is abit cheaper then other led TV, I didn't do a research on it yet, but giving the price they place, I might believe him. As for the Toshiba, everything is made in Japan, so its got better quality, for me if you wanna buy a led TV, buy a good one, like samsung don't go for cheap model, rather then a cheap one get a good LCD tv, like the Toshiba.

thanks micheal for your input...yup the best thing is to compared the tv side by side..saw sharp LC-40LB700M playing avatar movie in the shop yesterday..the picture movement is very smooth just like real thing..and not sure if the toshiba ZV can do like that...the Toshiba have 7ms in response time but have 200hz..anyone knows the response time for sharp LC-40LB700M?

i don't know about sharp, but the toshiba speaker and sound quality is one of the best i've ever heard from a tv, is like having a build in home theater system.

before i forget, if you don't like the smoothness of the picture, you can disable it with toshiba, my friend's dad bought the samsung led 3D, he said everything is set to 200hz, he cant change the setting, so all the movies he watched seems like his playing a game.

for toshiba zv u can select either home or store mode. normally store mode will be a bit brighter and consume more power.. for me I like less bright picture with more black level. The sound of ZV model is indeed the best speaker I hv heard for a LCD tv. since I hv not own a ht yet this tv is producing a decent sound which will delay your hunt for a HT set

Because the smoothness seems fake, 200Hz means the screen is running at 200fps, the reason for this is to eliminate the motion blur present in the picture. All LCD suffer from this setback, the only tv that doesn't have motion blur is plama TV. So their trying to make the fps faster to eliminate the motion blur, but the drawback it makes the picture less natural. 100Hz is ok for me, but 200Hz is a bit to much for me. IMO, watching a movie at 200Hz is like watching a documentary channel, rather then watching a movie, sports channel are the only ones that can benefit from this feature, this is just my own understanding on it, i may be wrong but you always look it up on the net. I would say go for Panasonic plasma V20 series. Going for 4.6k but it is very very good PQ. GO check at your nearby shop if you don't believe it . Better then spending money on a last year LCD technology.
