i heard Siang TV is offering RM3250 for PS50-C430 or PS50-B450.

What is the difference between B and C there? Any better price to get HD ready 50 in TV?

thanks

thanks ask8900, i understand C5xx is better than C4xx, but within the 4 series, there are also Axxx, Bxxx, Cxxx. does it mean A450 is the oldest?

And in the C series there are also C430, C431, C450. WHat is the meaning of all these numbers? Can you please help tell me the difference in them? Can i assume the higher the number the more features and the better, so the higher price?

My budget is around RM3250 for 50 In plasma, do you think i can get any other than that samsung on offer??

Thanks again.

hello apexg2, nice to know you have that samsung 50 in TV. So it must be a good TV from your experience, that means i seriously want to consider getting it.

What price did you pay for it?any free gift like player HDMI cable? I wonder if it can be used as CCTV monitor.. Thanks.

I will suggest to get Panasonic THP50U20k. You won't regret it if that is within your budget.

U hv to decide whether the extra size is more important or the anti reflection and the calibration features present in the V20 is more important.

If u r not the fussy kind, size almost always wins. Unless u r a stickler for detail. The V20 will be more accurate in colour reproduction and superior reflection handling. The U20 being 50" will be just bigger and the experience is totally different!

Hi anfieldude,

Thank you for your reply.
I will have to weigh between these two spec. Size or additional features.

Yes, RM4100 for the VIERA TH-P50U20K is a very good price.
Carrefour is selling at RM5199 with a free Blu Ray player and a HDMI cable.

Thanks for the shop name.

because I think HD ready plasma can sometimes beat those full HD lcd easily.
http://forums.audioholics.com/forums/showthread.php?t=39772
One more thing is that the electricity usage of full HD plasma is significantly more than a HD panel, unlile LCD technology which uses about the same.

I am also looking for a TV, probably just go for the cheapest hd ready plasma available because lack of proper feeds, maybe pana x28 or lg, still looking...

I just checked on the Samsung PS50C450's resolution which is 1365x768. This means this TV is not full HD as blu-ray movies and upscaled DVDs won't be optimised on the 720p display of the C450.

Any idea how much is the C550? The resolution of the C550 is 1920 x 1080 pixels which is full HD.

at least samsung's 1365*768 is better than panasonic 50x20's 1024*168. even 50x10 (last year model) has 1366*768.
