there some method how u can enjoy 3D movie.
If u doesn't have 3D capable display ,
u can enjoy 3d using anaglyph method, with red/cyan or green magenta passive glasses.
try to search at youtube, u can get anaglyph glasses for rm2, test it and see if u interested.
power DVD10 capable to play 3d bluray,
it also can convert 2d to 3d, but not perfect.
set the power dvd video out as anaglyph if u doesn't have 3d capable display.
if you have 3d display, then set it according to your 3d display
to get better image, you have to calibrate color hue and saturation, and enjoy it in dark room.
For samsung 3D LCD
samsung 3d tv capable to convert 2d to 3d,
the input source is 2d, while conversion done internally and your active glasses sync perfectly with the display,
to view a 3d source, you required HDMI 1.4,
3d bluray player have this feature,
but there still no PC graphic card support HDMI 1.4,
samsung maybe equipped some driver/software which you can connect your pc using DVI/HDMI that doesn't support 3d signal.
About your problem
u have normal LCD TV, support 120 Hz, you have a shutter glasses.
and 3D tv has an IR emmiter, which this one use to talk with your active glasses wheater to block left eye or right eye,
if u doesnt have this ir emmiter, u will see the image same as u not using 3d glasses,
if u want to test it, put the normal lcd tv beside 3d lcd tv,
both view same source with vertical sync on, play some 3d video,
if i correct, u should 3d scene on both LCD TV.
using nvidia 3d vision kit is the right one, it come with ir emmiter. you dont have any problem with that.
but you already bought the glasses
you can try search in internet how to control/sync an active glasses.
if u using wired glasses, there are 3 point only, ground, left eye off and right eye off.
if u applied 3v between ground and left eye off, the left eye glass will become dark.
to get it sync, you required analog VGA connection,
one of the pin is carrying a vertical sync signal (refresh rate),
used this signal, feed it to amplifier and connect to wired 3d glasses.
be careful not swap left and right eye.
if u using wireless glasses, u need and ir emmiter, connect the ir emmiter to the amplifier.
but that just the basic how it work, very complicated to built one.
active glasses (shutter glasses) give better experience and image quality than passive glasses (anaglyph or polarized).
that all i know about 3d
