My 1st question is, everytime we look at a mirror, do people surrounding us see our image what we seen in the mirror? then how do we know we look good in peoples eyes anyway because the mirror inverted our image? sometimes i look in the mirror i look kinda good, but when i snap my own photo it looks different like my jaw is not symmetry, it kinda lose my self-esteem abit and i wish i saw what people see me in real life than what i saw in mirror

does the mirror lie then?

possible if the mirror has "defects" such as a rough or distorted reflecting surface

anyway...... unsymmetrical parts of the body is pretty common

when u look in the mirror, you see a reflection of yourself reflecting what u want to see up close in the here and now. when u look at a still picture its like looking at a 3rd party externally from faraway. our perception changes (so do our eyes and its judgements) according to what we want in the here and now. since a picture is taken in the past, we have no control on where we want to look and the stillness of a photo forces us to look at it with more objective eyes.

You should be asking does camera lie?!


The lense curve make people look very good or very bad in picture.

relax,,,,just accept the fact that you're non-photogenic-----never take pics of yourself / never post pics in www-----------

The difference in the image you see in the camera and the mirror is the angle of sight. In mirrors you will at eye-level prespective. In camera it has many variation. Eg, brideye's view, elavation, ... That is what sometime you see your jaw twisted in picture.

What you're facing here, everyone faces it as well. Me included. Sometimes I looked good in picture but not in real life.

If you guys keep thinking that way, you would end up believing that there is another world behind the mirror.

Then accept that whats in front of the mirror is [you, yourself and you are]. Unless you are in a mirror fun house, now thats a different story.
