he even filed a lawsuit against LHC <------ as if he knew better than other scientists and thought others haven't considered the consequence of the project before putting it into testing ?

I suppose he was doing it out of principle (or at least, he thinks he is). That article I linked had this snippet:

"In physics you’ve got to be a physicist, especially a pre-eminent one, if you want to challenge CERN, which of course is loaded with them, including Nobel Laureates. It’s not just snobbery, but it’s more or less the club rules today. If they had been applied to Albert Einstein when he was drudging as a clerk at the Swiss Patent Office, he would have dwelt in obscurity. Actually as it happens, Einstein’s logic informs much of Rössler’s thinking on black holes."

Then later on, this bring up this issue again. Feels like Dr. Otto is using this as an argument to prove his point against 7000+ of the best and brightests physicists.

the different is Einstein presented an well supported theory that put him in the club of eminent physicist, this guy did not, of course there are time where the entire scientific establishment is wrong but a outsider was right like Alfred Wegener's idea of continental drift, but though Wegener got the right idea he dont have the theory to back it up, only after his death the development of plate tectonics theory prove his idea to be correct. he need to present proof if he want people to take him seriously.

the LHC will be shutdown in 2012 to upgrade and restart at 2013 with double the current energy.

while super large hadron collider have planned for 2019 and the very large hadron collider are also on the drawing board, those that fear LHC will destroy the world must be crapping their pant now.
