Which shop offered you 3999 for panasonic LED? Best denki price tag for this TV is 4999.

go for samsung 40" C650. I just brought mine, RM 3993 bundled with blue ray player.

So far I am extremely happy with the TV, even with HDMI dvd player playing normal dvd, you can notice the sharpness & 3d effect. When playing Avatar bD, the PQ is just outstanding, to my personal opinion, nothing fall short compare to so call LED LCD tv, the black level & vibrant color is just amazing

Do take note 40" B650 (2009 model) cost more then RM4600 in Seng Heng. I guess Samsung is focusing selling thier premium LED this year. Furthermore, you can plug your USB pandrive / harddisk to play downloaded movie, that save you few hundred on the media player.

In term of samsung service , I have not complaint at all. When trying to adjust the tv on my wallmount, we accidentally snap 2 HDMI ports. Samsung send the technician within 2 days, and have the motherboard replaced without question asked.

I did consider panasonic LED, it seems like a good buy with 42" screen. but seeing the actual model in display, I was truly disappointed.

Just my 2 cents

HLK offered me that price. But it still looks like last years model (in terms of black level and contrast). Only advantage I see that it saves on power, but quality still hasnt improve.

I see, thanks. The one in best denki is new model. I compared side by side with pana plasma V20K, the LED one PQ looks very good, but still not as good as V20k. Both priced at 4999.
