i had problem unlocking X2 cores using this
bios version 1202

failed to post everytime

AMD phenom ii X2 555 BE

i am a cheapskate, tryin to utilize the mobo features...

help or share ur experience

555BE unlock is depending on batch, not all batches can be unlocked though
recently i bought 1, can show B55 in bios but cannot boot to windows

try set your cores manually by enabling 3rd core, then only try the 4th core

by rite u aint need to do anything in bios, just set d core unlocker switch to ON, as simple as that. if things not turnin out d way it supposed to be, it means 2 things:

1. u have bad cores
2. double check d core control under bios, check whether core 3 & core 4 are disabled

i never touch d core activation... but it's gud to double check as always...

i read somewhere this is hard to unlock compare to CPMW or EPMW

(look at the proc box to know which one)

week is d key... 1003 & 1004 did quite well imo, not so sure d rest coz i lost track of it since then. owned a 1003gpbw, did pretty ok but still failed in prime stable @ 4GHz.

yeah, there's no other way to know d batch of a chip other than checkin d codes engraved on d ihs...

most important thing is enable unleashing mode.
if u turn on ACC but dont enable that, u cant unlock cores.

this mobo dun have unleashing

only unlocker core

did your cpu in overclocking setting when you are trying to unlock it?

iinm, when u enable ACC u can see the unleashing mode .
i recommend u put auto on ACC , restart PC and then only enable unleashing mode .

in this option, we can control up to 6 cores unlocked

one is option is unlocker mode
where 4 cores r activated

u dun see acc in bios, if u see, something is wrong. core unockin is as easy as turnin on d switch & set core activation to auto in bios. if happened u have bad core(s) but bootable, that's when u'll use manual in core activation.

if encounter any bad cores, need disabled the defective 1 manually in BIOS

i think i got confuse wit ACC

ACC is core activation where we can manually unlocked up to 6 cores

try dat one oredi: failed

try the unlocker switch: failed

now just crank it up to 3.6ghz

if both failed, then you have an unlockable X2 loh.....

core activation is core activation, acc is acc, there's no acc on ya board. if u've done d steps mentioned earlier (core unlocker switch on, core activation = auto in bios), then it's obvious that u have bad cores which can't even get activated. note: there is core(s) that can be unlocked but not stable in windows. apart from that, try not to set core activation = manual & enable core 5 & core 6, u wont be able to boot up normally iirc, hence, auto is more recommended unless u disable those bad/non existin core(s)...
