The best defense is offense and I think this have been a major factor for our clean sheets.

We've been scoring alot of goals and not conceding against mediocre or lowly sides. I guess we have yet to meet a team with enough attacking power such as Arsenal or Man Utd to really test our defence and to say our defence is still as strong as ever is abit of an over confidence given the way most of the defenders have been playing.

Nicolas Anelka: My handcuffs celebration shows just what I think of the French Football Federation

'It was just something for the French Federation about what happened at the World Cup,' said Anelka.
'What happened in summer is in the past, now I'm 100 per cent focused for Chelsea.'
When asked if he would ever consider playing for France again, he replied: 'No, never. It was just a joke about what happened. I'm not angry.'

Anelka's movement in attack in the absence of the suspended Didier Drogba was pivotal, according to a satisfied Ancelotti.
'The key was Anelka, he played a fantastic game,' said the Italian. 'He created space, he had opportunities, he was the key for this game.
'He can play the position in front, sometimes we use him more wide, sometimes he plays in the middle but he shows the same skills if he plays wide.'

Yea,but we haven't been versus those top teams, actually if u see the BPL fixtures, our opening matches were against lower teams, even this week is against Blackpool, sure will win,if lose, that will be a surprise

Let's see next week when we versus M.City and the following week after that,Arsenal..but M.City is away match,we lost twice to them before, didn't we?Home and away?

Btw,I'm a Chelsea fan too,I always surf this thread after matches, just that I dun reply often rclxm9.gif

last season we beat arsenal, man utd and liverpool home and away. i dont see why it should be different this season. our squad is already strong with the addition of essien and paulo seems to be doing quite a good job at right back so far.

Yes we can do it too this season. Need to maintain the momentum as long as possible so we can ride out the blips if any this season, we win all the so call big matches last season, would hope for the same and more this season.

CHELSEA v Blackpool: Frank Lampard unavailable but Didier Drogba returns

QUOTE
Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has not recovered from hernia surgery and will miss their game against Blackpool at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Lampard requires more work on his groin but could be fit enough for the Carling Cup clash against Newcastle next week. Ivory Coast striker Didier Drogba, who was suspended for the Champions League game against MSK Zilina in midweek, returns to the squad.

Rested Ashley Cole is back in contention but right-back Jose Bosingwa remains out with a knee injury.
