yes i know this is kinda great whatsoever. but make your discussions worthy.

Frankly speaking, after read some volumes after no 6, the story is kinda going in boring direction. I wonder if the anime can be any different.

Depends. To me it's interesting, but one of my worries will be that if some parts are left out from the anime.

But looking at the source material itself it's very hard to get them to not follow it. I might be wrong, but whatever.

big fan of this series... hope they can tell more stories this time, the 1st season was more like introduction to all the characters before the main story. any idea when will they release this series? and i tot JC staff still have to work on Shana season 3?

yes. it's a side story of the original novels. released as a separate novel series

... i bet they didn't want to use the one Railgun SS volume while in the first railgun anime:



as the title of the series said, it's a focus on the lives of Mikoto and co.

im watching the railgun version after that i discover that it was a spin off of the index. so do i cont the railgun or stop and go for index 1st ?

Continuing is OK, but if you have doubts don't hesitate to watch Index just for the sake of finding things out.

Just to tell you, what was in the first Index season, compared to what I know of currently, has very little that you can find out from. Unless if you're not OK with spoiling yourself, lurk for some information about it.

ahh its Anieze Sanctis, another gluttonous nun other than Index.

One thing i like about this series is that all the nuns are wierdo.

Hmm, so Kikuko Inoue will be voicing both Touma's mom and Ursula, eh? And Sawashiro Miyuki as Lucia? Pretty fitting for her serious image.

Now to wait for the rest of the cast list... really want to know who's going to be voicing Saiji. And most importantly, Itsuwa for that matter. :3

Don't worry when comes to voice acting, you can really rely on J.C Staff seriously

interested who's going to VA Awaki, Misuzu and Itsuwa. I hope Kitamura Eri voice act as Awaki tho

If only Accelerator can accelerate time....

Even though his name is Accelerator, he doesn't "accelerate" He just manipulates vectors and reverse them \

Until now i still don't get how accelerator power works. I mean what he do was only reverse the direction everything he touch but how the hell he use that power to preform telekinesis?

He doesn't need to touch that thing lol. All he needs is to reverse the vector of what is surrounding the thing he wants to move. Like

this is not railgun type of story i believe. this series will tell the main story of the to aru majutsu no index and will not have that much of fan service as railgun. just give it a chance kay?

Bear in mind that Kazuma Kamachi himself had to write the anime's storyline to its end, else they'll have to use materials from the Railgun manga which is not... well, haven't gone so far. Else by the time the anime needs more material they would've run out of stuff to write on.

The lack of Touma is what made me somehow lost interest in Railgun, but I had to admit they went into character development pretty well - if it's not a bit too much. But oh wow, even the Dorm Supervisor have more character development than other key characters themselves D:

yes sir, the accelerator story part is going to be attractive cant wait for the battle

I rather they just show 12 episode of railgun then continue later arc in the 2nd season. What i was trying to emphasize here is Railgun is a spin off of index but the lack of spin off element from the anime that bugs me. Especially July 19 during that part when Misaka trying to extract the level upper info from a certain mobsters(while kuroko slaming her head because her beloved oni-san trying to act moe), in the manga Touma suppose to brag in their conversation pull off the deal away causing him being chased by a bunch of mobsters as you see in the begining of Index first episode.



For those who read the light novel should recognize this part




While in the anime when i was hoping for that scene, suddenly elder sister come in and settle their issue outside. Not that i am bias towards the relation between Touma x Misaka but this is why many people are confused the time line between Index and Railgun.

Most importantly director of Railgun is the same one who made Toradora! which is one of my favorite anime. WHY LA WHY!?? Please tell me that is not the director's fault

I am wondering if railgun following the story completely without fan service and cut scenes, will it be as popular now?

I had to admit the director of Railgun did one good thing - that is, character development. I think I did say it earlier that character development in Railgun is extensive enough I'd say even the dorm warden is more developed than any other character from Index.

But one thing for sure is that this being a part of the ToaruVerse series (as how I'd put it), I don't feel like liking just talking heads all over the screen...

Besides, I'm too lazy to complain about Railgun and thanks to it I'd say a certain skirt flipper have had her share in the limelight more than the titular character does (I'm looking at ya Saten-san). Which might inspire her own series in the future... but probably that won't happen.

By the way... yeah. Just 2 or 3 more weeks to the first episode's airing date.. and voila. Till then, I'm putting "Rollin' " by Limp Bizkit on in anticipation of it. wwwwww

That's for sure since is from Kazuma sensei anyway. But how well the character linked to the plot is another story unless Kazuma Sensei include it on the later series.

To me(yes is only me) is really unnecessary to build character development for character which doesn't play a big role in the series because I will certainly forget them sooner or later. My statement can be wrong btw.

Dorm supervisor is a tsundere lol.

Lastly i really wish there's more character development on Team ITEM members.

after all, i totally felt nothin with scientific railgun series as opposed to the scenes from index 1 and 2.

The biribiri in Railgun is kinda tsundere before the main events in Index occurred. She kinda soften up after Touma saves her ass time and again esp. in that fight against Accelarator

... Well, we don't have tons of fanarts of Touma+Misaka for nothing

further events will reveal why.

I don't understand why people like Index (the character) so much. She's as useless as a brick.

1. She eats a lot
2. She talks too much
3. She gets kidnapped
4. She can't fight
5. She doesn't help with chores

Other than holding tonnes of forbidden books in her head, I really see no purpose to her existence in the series.

She is the reason Touma is misrable?

Touma's misery is supposedly caused by his right hand negating all of his luck. Index's presence only adds up to it - one extra mouth to feed. More like, 5 extra mouths to feed.

So we got a series which the author should've somehow given it a title "A Certain Preachy Imagine Breaker." about someone whose gift is to dispell stuff



and goes around trying to weaken Cthulhus everywhere he goes by first preaching to them before punching them, and makes the Cthulhus join his party, which as of now literally goes beyond 9000 in terms of quantity.

I don't think it's the writer's fault. Probably the other characters got more popular than expected and thus more emphasis on them on later books.

I kind of agree of this one. As a person, Index is really annoying and a troublemaker. The only plus that she have is being a moe blob. But as a character, she has her use as a library. Nothing more and nothing less.

No. Most of them are fulfilling what the novel writer has intended. For example, Misaka's fighting him than falling for him is a tsundere stereotype that could have been seen miles away. Reading back, nothing much really can be done to make Index any different

actually the author did say something about regretting on naming the story "yadayadayada index" ..since index don't appear much in the story
but of course ....that's how it is later
