Figured someone would ask. Well, since I perceived this series as "Sh*t Got Real: The Anime™" I guessed as much....

Actually, even I have the barest idea of what it is, because the explanation for this is somehow confusing.

Let's just take the explanation that Accelerator's powers when he has these black wings means he's no longer LOLSCIENCE.

The Raildex universe used to be so good. With this, it has completely descended into the realm of complete asspulls.

I can't remember much, but that's how things goes. There was supposedly an explanation for that but since most of the time I encounter TL;DR, it's like once I get another info into my head I forgot another one later

JC Staff did adapt the novels good. But if there's some stuff I can't be fine with, one of them would be that they don't include any character monologues which would help explain why this this and that that.

... But even if they do, this anime will be a HURRDURR ANIMATED WULLZ UF TAXT (read: even worse) which will be a turn-off factor for a lot of people. Sure, I know there are people who enjoy overly long and intricated explanations. I don't mind as long as it helps understand the workings of the Raildex universe, but then first of all they are doing 24-episode seasons and not 52 per season etc; and the rest of the viewers... well, this: "ZZzzzzzzzzzz...."

... Oh yeah, with this arc now over, we are now on to another arc, actually. Based on Index novel SS1.

And from there on we're about to be introduced to yet another new dude who's gonna be the MC of his own side of things... Okay that's where I'll stop talking.

tl;dr this series is so full of Chekhov's Armory and Army that if you tend to ignore them, you'll later forget that they cause stuff to happen later on.

dude....it was NEVER good. LOL. It was ass pulls right from the start.

But anyway i already suspended all common sense and belief by the end of season 1.

I hate when things go random in whatever I watch. Accelerator knows Angelic language now? Wasn't that kind of magic skill? Wasn't it a fact that espers shouldn't learn magics or they'd die? Damn, yo.

These kinds of things are what I call asspulls.

This thing makes me wanna drop this anime.... please somebody stop me.

That's because the anime now is worth insulting. If the fans can't accept that fact, they need to grow up.

I have a great faith in this anime and I love it for being involve with both science and magic and everything are well explained before but now this Accelerator thing is soo random, it came out of nowhere and definitely cancels out the very plot of the anime itself; science and magic can't coexist. Now that accelerator know both magic and being and esper, he should have been dead by now or at least he lost an organ or two. We can see it happened on Tsuchimikado but not on Accelerator. What's so special about him anyway?

i think its just a technological analogue....something like technology immitating magic.

When I think about it, they never specifically explain why a person cannot be an esper and magician at the same time.

The recent episode caused me to think that they may set up a field so that you can't use both but this is just a hunch.

If I'm not mistaken the LN should have ended and anyone who has finished care to prove my theory?

Espers are born with talents/abilites and have AIM fields. Magic is used by people who don't have abilities but borrow power from beings of another dimension (e.g. God, demon, whatever) to channel into abilities. Magic can't be used by Espers and vice versa because the AIM field used to impose the esper's personal reality will disrupt/nullify the magic coming from another dimension.

So by imposing a large AIM field, it will somehow cause other magicians to be inert or something like that.
