If you want to get ipad , go for at least 32 GB . 16GB you have only about 10GB space only to install apps. Also if you are planning to do any work creation on ipad - forget about it. It is a consumption gadget not so for work. The keyboard editing will kill your interest to do any work straightaway. It takes up to 1 sec or more just to edit a letter - if you are skill maybe slightly shorter

The price difference is not much between 16 gb and 32 gb. Get the 32 GB. The ipad does NOT come with any office suite. You have tyo buy iworks US$9.99 each ( pages, numbers , keynote ) ie total US$30 OR if you prefer closer to Windows MS Office get either Docs to Go or Quickoffice - US$ 17. But if powerpoint is important, better buy extra KEYNOTE US$9.99 as the powerpoint feature from DTG or QO has some formatting issues in displaying Microsoft Powerpoint slides properly - again this depends on how formatted or complex the slide is
The email in ipad is hopelesssly slow in downloading email - the tab is almost instant while the ipad for ordinary mail without attachment - you need to wait 1-2 secs , with attachment at least 3 to 5 secs and more if attachment very big. If you have attachments on email on ipad you will have another big problem handling it as file management in ipad is restricted. You need to buy other apps to have better management of the files. I can go on and on talking about why you should not use ipad to do work. Use it to play games, watch movies great. But then movies again you need convert to apple approved format. If you use other format , you need to buy other apps to view it and the results are often not good
You ned to buy Goodreader which is a very good PDF and other file viewer management tool - is worth every sen and is said to bea com[pulsory app to buy if you wish to handle files esp PDF

It was for all these reasons I give up the ipad as it is hopeless for work purposes - the TAB is way ahead of it in such respects

Not really , I just got my Tab and flashed it . Almost the same except Tab uses Odin and Streak more to FlashBoot . Both , once u got CWM , u r good to go  .... Go for the latest 1.8.1 but presume 1.8.2 might be coming soon . Ask Benny for his blog , saw him posted a very detail instruction to flash it with drivers included to dl 

It doesn't matter. If is Starhub, 9.9/10 he uses SuperOneClick to root it
The official Froyo is quite laggy. On Stephen customized rom above 1.5.1 , quadrant easily can hit 1700 above

Currently your Baseband is 320 right? Don't have to upgrade then. If I am not mistaken the baseband that is on the XDA thread is 318. Correct me if I am wrong fellas.

You must install the "official" recovery to flash new radios and rom. The original recovery does not allow you to flash roms. Official roms can only be updated OTA as Dell does not want users to flash rom themselves !!

After you have setup your ADK and the rest; subsequent rom flashing is just flash the zip file from card . The Androik SDK and all the fastboot files you have installed can be used for pushing commands at terminal for other Android phones too

if using official 2.2, how much is the quadrant score? did u test it? do u feel smoother than offical 2.2?
