Hi guys,
I got the plan to buy a house/Condo in 2(1/2)-3 years later and i hope can get 2++room and 2++bathroom as i dont really stay
because i just bought the property for my parents for retire and my sister staying so 2-3 room is enough
but the problem is
-where is the best place?Budget 450k but i dont mind used or new
(Kl-too expensive for me)
(Penang-I love it so much especially my parents can hav their retire life n lots of food plus nic view)
(Ipoh-Not too bad as got food and lots of retire person there plus a lot of old kopitiam all)
(any other option?)
-Paying 150k for head payment is it ok?
-By that time i am only 20 years old so is it possible for me to get loan and i got 8k salary per month

Thats all for my question and is it a good invest for Penang times square?
Thanks a million for those who help me smile.gif

150k head you mean downpayment?

normally you only need to pay 20% and get a 80% loan.

i.e. if your budget house is 450k,
20% = 90k

just pay up 90k,
keep the rest for maintanance and to furbish the house.
20 years old only? means your loan will be around 30 years and montly installment will be quite reasonable.

8000 per month salary? wow, may I know what you work as? Or is it you work in Singapore?

u think no other commitment meh?
minus epf, income tax, then food, petrol, car loan, car maintenance, own savings, get gf and some spending there, own personal spending once a while.
to be comfortable, 450K property should be ok for 8k income earner. buy what u can afford and dont be slave to loans.

I believe in two years time 300k++ house in Penang/Ipoh should be sufficient for 3 rooms and 2 bathrooms. Makan also cheap there.
I would recommend housing areas near Jusco and Pengkalan Tesco in Ipoh.

Strictly speaking on bank loan affordability.

One's lifestyle. How he/she spend on clothing, food, want to drive ultimate posing machine or whatever is none of my biz.

For penang, times square is way too congested with no view and in the middle of the city. Even the mall is like half dead. If you like convenience, in an older neighbourhood, then you will like times square. Near to all the hawkers and pasar if you know what i mean. laugh.gif

For me if I am buying a nice luxury condo in Penang, the area I am eyeing with good future development will be around Queensbay area. Got a nice big mall and hypermarket nearby. Lots of landed shops and commercial activity, your standard kopitiams and up-standard restaurants. The entire area is just well planned out. Plus you get a nice view of the Penang bridge, the sea (strai of penang) and pulau Jerejak which is now a upcoming vacation centre. If you like sailing, there is a marina nearby as well. For rental the area is very very near the free trade zone, where most expats works. icon_rolleyes.gif

In KL, rm450k for a good maintain or brand new high-end condo is not sufficient nowaday. Furthermore, the property price seem like still keep increasing.
