Guys, is there any way to type chinese in n900 without missing the symbol virtual keyboard? Last time I tried SCIM, it caused the symbol virtual keyboard missing, I am wondering is there any software or ways to type chinese now?

QUOTE(acks2257 @ Jun 7 2010, 11:18 AM) try this.. JavaScript 廣東拼音» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Its a java application, no installation needed.. BUT.. its not build in app.. so once you have type the word.. u have to copy & paste.. Installation steps.. 1. Just unzip, copy the folder to your memory and open the index.html 2. You can save the bookmark in ur phone desktop.. can be access easily.. p/s: it even can be use in ur pc.. credit to DadaThats a nice web app. But I found it quite hard to key in. So I will take this as temporary solution until the SCIM fixed the symbol problem. Anyway, thanks ya.

QUOTE(acks2257 @ Jun 7 2010, 11:49 AM) i found it ok.. especially it got cantonese pinyin.. cos my mandarin pin yin not that very good.. lolz.. im also trying the MSCIM whether can work or not.. will update once done.. cheers.. Ok, update us when you got the result. Thanks thanks. Oh ya just now i read through the google-pinyin website, they said if you need to use the symbol you have to install mscim-symbol something one. After installed, you can insert symbol by using mscim, but not the sym virtual keyboard. So it will be a bit troublesome to insert symbol. This post has been edited by jordan86: Jun 7 2010, 12:12 PM

QUOTE(ahtiven @ Jun 9 2010, 03:37 PM) installed Blessn900. i am too blind to notice any differences... and the dark screen after adjusting exposure issue remains. I think that software will cause some crashes, not sure they fixed it or not. I just read through maemo forum, some of them complained that software cause crashes and the phone reboot automatically.

QUOTE(princeofanger @ Jun 9 2010, 04:23 PM) Any guru here know how to tethering using N900? If you are using linux, then you can use wvdial this command. If you are using windows, i think you can just take your phone as modem and then connect from network connection. Make sure the information correct, then should be ok edi. And then after your plug in your phone to your system, choose PC suite in your phone.

QUOTE(ongte @ Jun 13 2010, 09:08 AM) The Mugen battery has a couple of issues. They forgot the little magnet for holding the kickstand, without it the MicroSD card cannot be detected. Also many reported that the battery charge % is totally wrong when using this battery. With that extended battery, the phone will be very huge edi. Camera will not be protected anymore. No more kickstand.

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Jun 13 2010, 02:32 PM) depends some ppl prefer power over size that makes the phone can last all day U might prefer size over power so u suffer frequent charging and changing battery I want to have more power but dun have the size to be so much bigger. This is really too big until very hard to put inside pocket edi. Ya now i also keep charge my phone. Im loading ideal profile with 500-805 setting. Which profile is good to save battery beside starving? I tried starving, not stable.

Make a backup for the modules file cp modules modules.orig
edit modules vi modules or use any editor like vim etc
add this at the bottom then reboot (this temp only working with titan kernel) bq27x00_battery Added on June 15, 2010, 10:04 pmMine stable with Ideal tq Mine not so stable with ideal. T_T Now reflash my phone, and try again. Hopefully everything go fine after reflash. Previously, I keep changing the profile, worry it will effect the stability of the phone.
