i think the 333mb update contains the new decks and cards etc.
just need to buy the expansion 2 to unlock it.
also, where are all the players?
*
Everyone is too busy with other games with better replayability value. smile.gif Now that Expansion 2 is out, you can expect the group (which is quite dead biggrin.gif) & game to be revived soon.

OK, so in this game we only have fixed decks with a limited pool of extra cards to customize them right?
*
Yup. For each decks, you can unlock a number of cards that have been assigned to that particular deck only. No transfer of cards from deck 1 to deck 2.

Well, I unearthed an older version of the game from the 90s that had all the haxor cards from the early imbalanced sets, and I could create my own custom decks (cause the preconstructed ones sucked anyway). Think I'd skip this then due to the rigidity of my deck building.

It's the game of the same name from MicroProse, am I right? I can still recall how it stole all my sleep away & caused me to fish in classes. sweat.gif

i'm using red decks...should I choose other decks? My decks is crappy sad.gif normally
you guys choose more land for starting 7 cards or how?

Yes, I think I fight green decks. I can choose my AI?  sweat.gif

By the way, yesterday I try to add you. But it seems that the game auto add
my Steam friend. So you're there already. Hahaha

It depend on your playstyle. Each colour has its very own personality & this will determines how you play the game. Red is very aggressive with creatures that are immune to summoning sickness but with little health. The spells are usually burn, burn & burn, especially at destroying lands. Therefore, don't let your opponent Green own too many lands or you're going to get steamrolled.

Hurm.. this is weird. In my decklist, there's no Relic of Doom deck. Is it usable? If not, wasted my money already T_T
*
Did you purchase Expansion 1? If no, then there's no Relics of Doom deck.

Ooo.. OK. Thanks. I bought the unlock and foil dlc during the promotion.
*
Hmm... all the unlocks are unnecessary IMHO. You're going to get the decks anyway after defeating its respective planeswalkers. smile.gif

Not entirely...for wining campaigns you only unlock basic deck, then you need to grind as many games per card in the deck which is anything from 15-25 cards.. times how many deck,. In turn means as many games.

Where got time! hahaha next sales, i'll gladly buy the unlocks.
*
You can utilize the save function & reload the game to the point where you're just a move away from winning. Repeat until you've got all the cards for that particular deck. smile.gif

Of course, you'll be killing the game's replayability value, so use this method wisely.

new expansion out lulz.
beat it to be able to use the overpowered pure black vampire boss deck in expansion 2.
*
That is very fast when compared to the span of time between the release of the game itself & Expansion 2.

Does it fix all the previous problem? Last time when I play, the cpu never out any card except land.
Is this problem solved? If not how I going to play?
*
Hrm? I guess the CPU was just being unlucky. What difficulty you were playing at when this occurred?

Sigh... based on the current news I'm reading, I'm afraid I've some bad news to all the para-para owners of the original Duels of the Planeswalkers.

Steam & Wizards have announced a new game, Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012 & after scouring the Steam & Wizards forums for bits & pieces of information, it seems like our games have been abandoned. No more DLC, no more updates & no more bug fixing. In fact, you can no longer buy the DLCs if you missed out on some of them.

The old game that we possessed are now being consolidated & sold as a bundle:
Duels of the Planeswalkers Gold Game Bundle
Duels of the Planeswalkers Gold Deck Bundle

The irony is that the new game is basically & almost a clone of the old game. I would say that it's an improved version with a few features thrown here & there but I wouldn't say the same for the bugs. I know that it's how games are being released these days but sigh... perhaps I shouldn't write much longer as I'm pretty peeved with the direction Wizards is taking especially when the old game is still bug-ridden from the first day. sad.gif

What?

Now I feel cheated.  sweat.gif I'm glad I didn't buy the DLCs that came out if they're just gonna release the thing in another form years down the road.
*
Yes, that's how I felt too. sad.gif I'm not going to be surprised if they came up with Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013 a year down the road.
