guys... hw come i farm 40 +adamantoise/adamantortoise with connoiseur's catalogue equipped still no traps

equip connosseur catalog.. and 5 stars it as well..

be patient,you will get it in no time.
At first,i also farming trap,
but after i've got enough trap,i still dont have enough gil to buy every item.

still have to farm more.

Need to farm trap and platinum ingot, both also comes from adamantoise/adamantortoise.

The chances of dropping is quite low so need to be patient, but if you farm 40+ still nothing definitely something wrong already. Make sure get 5 stars to increase drop rate.

I have farm less than 20 I think, got two plat and two trap.

kill long gui comfirm trapz drop with connosseur catalog only.. got 3 in row killing them

Don't have Long Gui yet for me, still haven't finish do all the mission. I just reach the Trial of Titans area

Ideally, if you want to farm Trapezehedron, you should go with Long Gui, since it drop more frequently from it...BUT that b*****d have like 16 mil hp, to Adamantoise 5 mil hp, so farm the toise' instead.

Adamantoise's drop rate = 25% Platinum Ingot, 1% Trapezehedron, equip Connoisseur Catalog increase the chance to 5%.

Neochu, on the other hand is a PAIN IN THE A**!!!

yeah 40min was when i first started to attack the adamantoise and no strategy yet.
now i can kill it just under 2:10
use vanille, fang and lightning.
i have to synergist first and buff everyone, then saboteur the legs, cripple it, then sabo the body, kill it. if no buffs or debuffs then its slower for me. no summons or shrouds now.

how do you do it in 1:20?

strange, for me neochu was kinda easy before (before max crystarium) and is easy now (maxed crystarium). just gotta leave about 3 of the small critters alive and attack the neochu directly.

anyways, hw long it takes u all to kill adamantoise (the one with 500% stagger) ?
i take around 7 min to kill... all my characters have their 3 main roles maxed and 1 more role at lvl 3/4... is it too long? tks

1 question, i having the japanese version of ff13 and i would like to get the chinese/english international version of ff13....will my japanese save file load in the international version?


oh btw it took me 1.35min to kill a adamantoise without any tier 3 weapons like omega weapon etc...but with all character mostly got 3 lvl 5 crystalium

use sazh! method,its the fastest i think.

yep use sazh.. use the gun with str only.. then blitz all the way

i use fang, vanile and lightning combination with these setup

(note: i am still in japanese version)

fang/light/vanile

ench/ ench / ench
jam/ jam / jam
blas/ blas / blas
atk/ atk / blas


start the battle out by using 3 enchanters and buff up urself...make sure u can stand the adamantoise 2 atk....after full buff get bahamut out(yes i am controlling fang) once bahamut out, get into gestalt mode/ drive mode then use the triangle skill which is the mega flame if not mistaken...the purpose is to make the adamantoise down

once the bahamut is done and ur party member returns, change to jam/jam/jam and debuff the toise...make sure u have deprotect or something and a debuff where there is 4 elemental icons on it...once u get tat change to blas/blas/blas...now shoot the hell out of the toise till u break the gauge/stagger...and once the % hits around 700-800% change to atk/atk/blas...fang and light will be in atk and vanille will be in blas...just atk the toise till its dead...

i do have genji glove where allows ur dmg over 99999 but i do try before without genji glove it also work well but only my fang dmg capped at 99999....cause i have my fang in 26xx str and lightning is around 2.1k str...vanile is at 1.9k of mag...mostly this fight will fin ins 1.35 min to 1.45 min....currently this method is not consider the fastest yet cuz is still using summon where u need to recharge ur tp back before another attempt...the fastest way is to kill the toise 2 leg without any summon..

for some low lvl farming u guys can try this strat below with death...

set ur party member with vannile/fang/hope or sash... i prefer sash over hope for buff

then use jam/jam/enchant...

once in battle use vanille summon...then use the drive mode/gestalt and triangle skill....then ur party member return...spam death on the toise....hope/sash will buff u and fang will continue jam the toise....the success rate is quite good...but make sure u have vanile jam crystallise full at lvl 5 and have malboro wand equip.

I insist to farm Trapz before final boss, so I have to use death magic only... I think I've killed like over 50 Adamantoise, still no Trapz, so imagine how boring it could be... I think I've casted thousands of death magic on Adamantoise.

get around 1.6million and u have 2 traps for free....or in a price of 1.6million u get 3 trap instead of 2million of 1 traps

but i am not sure dragoon lance is buyable before final boss

well i never manage to follow this guide from the youtube yet..cuz i am still in short of cash...still farming toise for ingot instead

EDIT: i think in order to unlock gilgamesh store to buy the dragoon lance u need to finish mission 46..

I've read that one before somewhere... The downside of this, lots of farming need to be done to reupgrade a max-out weapon after it has been dismantled

My party consists of:- Fang(Leader), Lightning, Snow

Weapons/Accessories:-
Fang - Taming Pole @ Dragoon Lance, Genji Gloves, Kaiser Knuckles x2, Gaian Ring.
Lightning - Edged Carbine, Magistral Crest, Blessed Talisman, Gaian Ring.
Snow - Feymark, Blessed Talisman, Collector's Catalog, Gaian Ring,

Paradigm:-
1) Syn - Syn - Syn
2) Rav - Rav - Rav
3) Com - Med - Med
4) Com - Med - Med
5) Syn - Sab - Sab
6) Com - Com -Sab

Methods:-
1) Cast "Bravera" & "Haste" on Fang, then change to 2nd paradigm.
2) Cast Thunder x 6, until Left Foreleg is staggered, then proceed to do the same thing on the Right Foreleg.
3) Change to 3rd paradigm, use "Highwind" on Left Foreleg, then repeat on the other leg.
4) Cast "Faithra" & "Haste" on both Lightning and Snow. Use 2nd paradigm and spam "Thunder" until the head is staggered.
5) Use the last paradigm to finish the job.

With this method, you do not need to cast summons or farm for TP, to use the summon in the 1st place. Easy, eh?

Doesn't necessary have to use Dragoon Lance; Shamanic Spear, Punisher, Pandoran Spear or Gael Bolg also can. The other weapons you can use for the youtube trick is Tigerclaw, Healer's staff, Belladonna Wand and Mistiltienn.

You still need to farm lots of toise to get the amount of Gil to be able to purchase the require material to upgrade the weapon. And during that time you are bound to get some trap and ingot.
