Watched the first episode, pretty good I must say. One thing really stood out - the make up effects! Just wow! Astonishing!
...as always with a new TV show, it is going to take a really good series of episodes to get me interested. Episode 2 (and 3) should be up on my next to watch. |

Walking Dead Season 2 Premieres In July Not October!
http://www.moviesonline.ca/2011/01/walking...-2-coming-july/ ![]() Image "Walking Dead Season 2 (AMC)" Large version: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE The Walking Dead Season 2 was supposedly going to be arriving next October but it seems that AMC is preparing to unload the new season on us fans much sooner then we all expected. Emmy Award winning actor Bryan Cranston told New York Magazine ( via The Daily Blam ) that Walking Dead season 2 is coming in July, 3 months earlier then we all expected saying quote; QUOTE “It was a decision from AMC that they wanted to position us in July… They want to attract as many eyeballs as possible, away from the heavy competition of the September, November [or] January start.” Wow, 3 months earlier! |

The sneak peek starts during the season "premiere" of Breaking Bad on July 17. http://www.movieweb.com/news/the-walking-d...th-breaking-bad Here is a first look at "Walking Dead Season 2" : Season 2 starts October 2011 New character includes Maggie Green played by Lauren Cohan : http://screenrant.com/the-walking-dead-sea...l-mcrid-121385/ ![]() |

Carl (indirectly) saved a life (Randall), and then (indirectly) takes a life (Dale).
BTW, Beth (Emily Kinney) is cute eh? Turns out she is an aspiring musician that just so happens to act. |

Just finished watching the finale, a little bit underwhelming but not disappointing. I thought the all-out zombie attack was fun, but once again they move on and settle elsewhere.
The entirety of Season 2 revolved around "internal conflicts" rather than moving the story forward, but then again we learnt so much about each character. What happened to the conspiracy aspect (e.g government involvement, the escape to the fort etc.). I guess Season 3 has a much better chance to shed light on these. Looking forward to Season 3 this fall. Oh yeah... Shane is gone. Good riddance. Don't like him. Shane and Dale can have a go at each other from above. |

Anyone played "The Walking Dead Part 1" (game) ? It is bloody brilliant... the use of cell-shaded visuals are brilliant, love the choices you can make and best of all, it puts emphasis on characterization. Well done Telltale games. Can't wait for the next part (it is an episodic game - available on Steam).

Just saw the mid-season finale... gosh have to wait until February!
It'll be interesting to see how Daryl gets out of it all, I think Merle will be forced to make a choice, kill him or leave Woodbury with him... or Merle will plot a breakout from Woodbury with his brother. Is it me or Michone isn't as bad a** as I expected? There should be way more 'cooler' fight scenes with her sword. |

Finally can comment, I stayed away from all the info of entire second half of the season and watched Ep 9 to 16 in one week.
The finale in one word - underwhelming! I wouldn't say I was dissapointed because we did get to see the story progress and to good effect. It was just the decisions that were made for the finale. On the finale: 1. Andrea's death - while she might have been annoying, her death was very staged. It was one of those 'we-have-to-kill-somebody-for-the-finale' type things. After all the crap she been through, she had to die this way? Not a very real scenario, quite tense but felt staged. 2. The Governor - from the start of Season 3, he was a force to be reckoned with. The finale... he seem to have lost it completely. I mean, really? I was so looking forward to seeing him in a 'proper' battle not stick his foot into the prison and then run for his life and then what... decide they were giving up and have to go back? WTH. 3. Carl - maybe I missed out on something but why was he mad at Rick? Couldn't understand this part, I thought maybe Rick had assigned only a few to actually fight from within the prison and Carl wasn't in it. Kid needs a good smack, again. Also what were they implying with him killing that kid? Didn't really need to dwell on it imo... he killed him because he felt he was in danger. Move on already, they were speaking as if Carl had suddenly become a vicious killer. If they were implying so, it didn't really work too well. 4. Walkers/Biters - so at the end of Season 3, lesson learnt was that humans were far more dangerous that the walkers/biters. To me, this was something I didn't expect to engulf the entire season with. Typical TV-syndrome. 5. Season 3 itself - Season 1 and 2 were stellar. Season 3 started stale and I really thought the whole Woodbury thing was a 'side' show. It became the central plot and the whole season was simply a battle against the Governor. From a TV standpoint, seem like a thinly spread butter. I don't know the source material (the comics) but once again the show has shown his knack for 'getting cozy' with a small subplot (Woodbury) and blowing it out of proportion. At least that is what it feels. I got to say something about the walkers in the show thus far - some of the aspects of the show that really got my attention was in Season 1 with the doctor/scientist trying to find a cure. And then in Season 3, Milton and his experiments on them. This is a very intriguing part of the show, but unfortunately, they simply decide it may not work and cease to show anything further. Don't get me wrong, it is a tremendously good show, you really want to know what happens next every time, but Season 3 seem to show a lot of weaknesses and suffered quite a few typical TV-syndromes including infamously 'holding on and then killing off characters' at important times to pull in the shock factor/viewer count. They better buck it up for Season 4. |

Haha... just watched.
Either its Glenn or Abraham. Or maybe Eugene... hmm... can't be. Sadly... we are going to miss somebody. TWD Season 6 was ok... some progression, but again, -> find save haven -> attacked -> defend -> go fight attackers -> get caught -> save the day Enjoyed it. Watched the entire season in the course of a few days. |

I think its Abraham.
Me thinks so because this season, they 'ramped up' his love life aka 'you-will-care-more-about-his-emotions' thingy. You know... he and Sasha. So supposedly this is the connection fans are about to lose. The other characters, too important or major and will piss of fans. Can't be a 'woman' la... too bloody violent to take such a beating imo. Unless they choose the safe route and its Aaron; just another character to kill off. |

QUOTE(kmarc @ Oct 25 2016, 08:07 AM) I'm still unsettled. I mean, I watched all kinds of movies and series but maybe I don't watch this type of extreme graphic gore. Even games of throne's gore is nothing compared to this. The one where the head was crushed in with bare hands was gross but it happened and the series moved on. They didn't focus on the crushed head/brain with spurting blood and protruding eyes or what not. Same with chopping of the head. Chop, clean cut, move on. So true... I watch GoT and violence/gore on that show is second to none and occurs oh so many times, you kinda get 'used to it'. TWD was never this line of genre. Can't imagine those families with kids/youngsters watching this episode. Anyway, that's just me. As can been observed, many enjoyed it thoroughly. Good for them...... ...but the Season 7 Premiere of TWD. That was something else. Not cool. It was torture porn. Honestly, the brutality of the scene was just wow. It had to be one of the most violent scenes I have ever seen on a TV show. Did it go too far? I say yes. They didn't just 'cutaway' but lingered on. Abraham was bad enough... but Glenn, come on, 6 seasons we have watched him, and to see him suffer in such a manner (bashed in skull, eye-ball popping) still trying to say his last goodbyes to Maggie... that was just over the top. They could have hinted / cutaway quickly and that would have been bad enough, but no. It didn't surprise me this happened: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed...responds-940874 http://time.com/4543808/parents-television...l-walking-dead/ Has the show gone too far?: http://www.usatoday.com/story/life/enterta...ction/92669814/ Fans were traumatized: http://www.tvguide.com/news/the-walking-de...-fan-reactions/ And some quit watching the show for good: http://www.theverge.com/2016/10/24/1337887...f-quitters-club But the show runner insist they based it on the brutality of the comics, and it was meant to be that way: http://www.ew.com/article/2016/10/24/walki...ason-7-premiere I usually 'binge watch' the episodes from March, but this was an exception. It's going to take time for it to sink in for me, might be back next year. |
