The pocket at the back for small notebooks(buku tulis) and writing pad.

The inside main pocket also has a zippered pocket that you can fit in wiping cloths and keys. I don't carry chargers as the iPad itself has proven to be long-lasting in terms of battery life.

Purchased from www.sfbags.com for USD179. The iPad Slip Case is USD29 I'm planning to buy another 10' Muzetto as well as the iPAd Smart Case from them. The Keyboard Short Wireless Case is on order from a bulk order organized by Eralus.

Got it from Beavis68. Once the "secret device" I brought to the Gathering is made available, I'm switching to that, it's the smallest MiFi in the world! With a screen too! biggrin.gif

Price: USD129 for brushed aluminum, USD139 for Anodized Black & Silver

Pros: The most beautiful iPad stand available on the market. Collapsible to be able to be carried in its own cylindrical pouch (included).
Cons: Pricey? Personally, for such an elaborate and quality finishing, it is well worth the price.

Recommendations: Absolutely!
Ratings: 11/10!

You can definitely have "clearer" screen protector, you have two classes of them, clear and matter/antiglare, but that does not protect from fingerprints and smudges. Come back here with your "wow" once that happens. wink.gif

These China-brand screen protectors works, but once your finger oil sets in, it will deposit swirl-marks when you try and remove them by wiping with cloth. In the end, you end up carrying a cloth and furiously wiping it away, which is a chore due to the size of the screen. Sure, save up on a cheapo brand, but all that saving and having to contend with furious wiping to keep the finger oil and smudges away? Be my guest. rolleyes.gif

Weird that you went all the way to buy a "luxury"-class item (not a necessity), but unwilling to do the same to protect it. Sounds more like you want to get one because everybody else has one or look at you when you have one, not because you'd like to protect your investment or have a better experience using it (smudges?) when you have the right accessories with it.

The point that is worthy of any "wow" is a matte/antiglare screen protector that doesn't impede on clarity when viewed directly. I can simply saran-wrap my iPad with kitchen plastic wrapper and that gives that clear look and that is not even more than RM10.

Please think before you type something.

Come back to me again when that RM20 SC comes away without finger oil and swirl marks on it later. There's a reason why the RM100++ SC are priced that way, and it's not because it's the Gucci or the Prada of SC.

High end meaning = luxury item? I'm not sure if this philosophy applies to everyone, but personally, it's better spending a bit more and end up using it well and last longer, than skimping on cheap quality ones and having to replace it again and again later or worse, have it not protecting your iPad enough that it damages it. The intention was to protect the iPad on the cheap, but end up having to fork out on repairs or worse, permanently damaging the iPad. Take your pick.

My accessories = high end? They don't have glittering diamonds or rubies for crying out loud! They're functional and makes use of their design to make it practical to every day usage. Which of my accessories are "high end"? rolleyes.gif

I'd avoid any case/folio/enclosures that utilizes the skimpy corner elastics, it will wear in time, and gravity will do its punishment to the iPad. But hey, everybody want things cheap these days, so ....*shrugs*

The very reason why Elas Passport aren't that recommendable compared to the other cases like full-cover leather cases. Even the Yoobao is much safer than the Elan.

I guess some folks can have lower expectations and standards, so eh, I guess I'll leave it at that. Just providing a different point of view, because not all things expensive are because they are branded, it's because they are manufactured to last, and feature-filled. If the iPad is a passing "fad" or "just another device" to you, then it makes sense not providing the best there is for it. I would also understand the financial aspect of it, but there's always the option of "I'll get this RM20 first as a stop-gap measure, before settling for the better one". Hell, I did that myself when I got the relatively cheaper wrapping service done on the iPad before I moved on to proper screen protector+ Switcheasy Nude case combo! I would have understood and accepted that, rather than "worshipping the cheap and belittling the pricier option" perception pervading a lot of people here. I would also understand that it would make sense if the "pricier option" is designer in kind, then it would make sense not to recommend it, and probably deserve that "Wow, RM20 stuff better than RM100 stuff" statement. But for something like the PowerSupport and its widely acclaimed functionalities to be reduced to "pricier option = high-end = designer (?)", is not right. If that is not the intention, the person who did posted that "Wow" sentence does makes it like it sounds that way.

Hell, the only thing "designer" or "high-end" in the iPad items/accessories I have is the iPad itself! The rest are accessories that are merely better versions of the cheaper options made available locally. rolleyes.gif

Scroll back for the "what's air support" , "Power support", and all the cheeky sarcasm that revolves around the price insinuated here. My posts aren't just there for decoration, it's there for dissemination of information. And yes, the Powersupport Antiglare ain't sold in "high end", "designer" outlets like Prada or Burberry, it's sold by Machines itself. If you perceive Machines as designer or high end, then I give up, maybe you need to go to Petaling Street for you preferred "affordable" iPad related store.

I'm not gonna stretch this further, so I'll just say that I hope you're happy with whatever choices you've made with your iPad. and its accessories. I strongly believe my choices aren't made with just "looks" in mind, they are more functional than "looks". I find it ridiculous for someone to lump the Powersupport as "designer", when it is made available widely at Apple Resellers locally. That ploy is probably to divert the attention to the price of their preferred screen protector, because the "no-name" brand has no justifiable history of recommendation behind it, other than being "cheaper in price". Which what seems to drive the mindset of typical Malaysians these days anyway. Hell, I'd even believe if there's shipments of iPad "jatuh from lori" and sold at half price, Malaysians wont mind paying for that price, because "it's cheap" and not because "it isn't the right thing to do".

Hi guys

I would like to share with you the iPad Dock which is replica/copy/fake from China. Don't get the China copied products for original price or near original price, they are not worth the original price.
Pay RM99 for a copy/fake product? Better get original
*
Thanks for the pics and insights, babyk. Agreed, it's hideous looking!

Great choice of screen protector, podrunner. wink.gif Your stand is unique as well, makeshift, but works. Looks kinda flimsy though, and doesnt cater to multiple angles for movie viewing/touch typing. But hell, if I get that for cheaps, why not?

I can carry on with my side of the opinion, but I'll take the higher road and be the bigger person and stop while I'm ahead. Don't have to win a popularity contest to know where people stand and what their ulterior motives are.

I know where I stand, and from where I stand, at least I have the conviction to stand by my principles. It's more of a waste of money to spend on cheap products and pray for a miracle that it'll last as long as the more reliable (thus higher pricetag), and then continue replacing them because they wear out faster..

The next person who says "chill out" and "don't be serious", take a moment and read back at previous posts and see "who" and which parts of "who's" post that instigated and evoked this response of mine. Since my last "controversial" post, I have kept my counsel to myself, but if you "poke", rest assured I'll poke you back equally hard. Don't expect an easy ride from me.

Your move. I have moved on from the previous "hot bed of coals" , if you choose to tango, I'll dance. It takes two to tango, the same applies to an argument.

Actually I don't know if I paid for the stand or not...friend got the ipad from LA, and the stand and a "sleeve" (not shown) came with it. Have not really used the stand.
*

Either way, it's a clever way to prop the iPad up. I presume it wobbles a bit? It's probably part of a bundled order, I was offered such a bundle last time I was searching for iPads in LA. Not bad if I say so myself.

Those looking for iPad accessories like cases, leather sleeves, screen protectors and bags, come on down to Pavilion. They have large selection of iPad-related accessories on the showfloor of the Mac+iPod Discoveryweek here. Those who followed me on my twitter feed, I've posted the names of the accessories and their prices.

Whoops! How did I miss the comment! I think I'm getting all excited about my iPad coming in 2 weeks time.

Ok. Will PM you details......

Added on July 6, 2010, 3:44 pmAlso, another thing. I really like the Skadoosh and the Joule, but they are way too pricey for my liking.

Has anyone tried the Griffin A-Frame?

Looking for a Stand that will fit in the STM Scout XS together with the iPad and a Keyboard.......
*
The Griffin A-Frame is too heavy to be mobile. For stationary use, it is okay. But I dislike the heavy bottom design, and the angle of which the stand opens to. Very limited angle.

That's the beauty of both Skadoosh and Joule. They are both collapsible unto itself, and maintains a firm and stable grip with the iPad. If you notice, the A-Frame employs the leaning of the iPad into its slot (a.k.a gravity) to maintain it in place. Both the Joule and Skadoosh grips the iPad in its deep slots. The Skadoosh was once USD68, before they realized that they have a hit product and increases the price o USD100.

Sigh, Looks like I might have to splurge on the Skadoosh..... It looks way cooler in my eyes then the Joule.

Well, if anyone is selling or bought one extra, let me know tongue.gif

iPad virgin and freakin' excited.
*
To each his own I guess. I'm sitting here at Starbucks KLCC and have 3 families approaching me and asking where to get the Joule stand I'm using to type this iPad on. The beauty of the Joule stand is, it has 3 removable slots to place the cylinder on. At the lowest angle, it even accomodates touch-typing with the virtual keyboard on the iPad with your palms resting on the table. At its highest angled, it can be used either solely as a touch tablet, or coupled with the Apple Bluetooth keyboard, as a properly angled laptop-like screen with typing relegated to the Bluetooth keyboard.

With the Joule wider at the part where it grips the iPad compared to the Skadoosh, it's another plus point too. Once slotted in place, it is super stable. The Skadoosh is stable too, but the smaller grip surface may introduce wobble if you're pokinh heavily at the top corners. Not on the Joule.

I guess it has to be seen and demoed to be understood. Hence the reason why the Gathering was made. We had both Skadoosh and the Joule at the Gathering.

Put it this way, which ever I can get my hands on first, I'll get.

If Stringfellow manages to bring in more Joule's (hint hint tongue.gif), I wouldn't mind getting one too.

LOL laugh.gif Here's a hint,hint from me:-

I'm going to LA next week. Hint, hint. Purchase Joule online and ship to my LA hotel. Hint, hint. I come back on 20th and you get your Joule free off expensive shipping charges to Malaysia. Hint, hint. brows.gif
