Why go for a HD ready plasma twice the price of a Full HD plasma? Is the Kuro so great that it can outlast all future technology? From what I see, the new Samsung LED is very close to the plasma and yet you have peace of mind from burn-in.

Afterall Kuro is dead already and those stock you find are all old stock waiting to be clear off.

Today took my time to visit few stores, mainly to search for a Kuro 508XG and pit it against other offering like Samsung C6500 and Panasonic V20k.

All in all, I think the V20k is a very good buy at TBM shop, I'd safely says it's almost Kuro 8G performance with FullHD supports. The Samsung C6500 was quite good and it became even better with the price in mind.

Kuro is the brand name though, and owning one is different compare to the others :-), still deciding tongue.gif

lightning69, Kuro itself carry some effects; and its like why people buying used Beemer or Merc instead of buying Japanese car brand new tongue.gif

gocitygo, still not decision yet, but i guess by this week I'll actually get mine, :-), can't wait to view all my mkv and bluray collections on the new toy. Saw the Pana Z series 54inches, wish I can afford that, but way too expensive, I started with a budget of 5k, and now it keep on increasing :-) Scary huh

firestarter, I've actually drew a 50incher on a board and stick it to my wall, in actual fact I'd wish if I can afford a 60incher

As some forumers pointed out, the V20k in M'sia is not the same as the Europe spec, it is more to the G20 but minus the THX.

Yea, it was very good indeed, but as per what I mentioned, the V20 is no slouch compare to the Kuro and it also came with 5 years warranty; somemore FullHD compliant :-)

hehe, looks like v20 is quite good.

for myself, ive also take in the post calibration result as a buying factor during my plasma tv hunt. and it is a good feeling indeed to read those calibration comments and experience of the users in avsforum and to know that their set is manufactured almost in the same spec as yours.(panel, filters etc).

and we are very lucky to have anfieldude as our reference/calibration sifu.
