QUOTE(deShinyDevil @ Jun 1 2010, 10:06 PM) if i apply for the astro b.yond PVR, when the technician will come and fix it? my astro max is spoil now. dun worry they wont knoe jux dun on your max when they come Added on June 1, 2010, 10:11 pm QUOTE(TallJustin @ Jun 1 2010, 10:00 PM) The GUI the same. we nid your advice, which option to take for current Byond users? There is now the 3rd option for viewing a channel. Pillar Box and Fit to screen (the current options) and the 3rd one specifically for 4:3 channels that letterbox their output (like Discovery). this option is called LB Expand (for LetteBox Expand). Basically it is the zoom feature that was on briefly before but tweaked a little bit so it's not so much zoom as before. Anyway as I said it is not for use as a default setting but to be used when a programme on a 4:3 channel letterboxes their programme. Like the other aspect ratio change you can control this directly from your remotes AR button. The firmware upgrade is for all b.yond decoders. Added on June 1, 2010, 10:06 pm yeah Pace. the rm5 or the rm10 / mth option? wat time is the update start and how long will tat take? thx This post has been edited by digilife: Jun 1 2010, 10:11 PM |

ITS RM300 for the PVR + extra rm10 monthly
or rm5 extra and u buy the HDD yourself, also hav to fork out abt rm300 but the second option , we can use another HDD if the first is full but do we hav the time to watch them all since there will be more HD channels coming out our time will be spent watching the newer ones and where we got time to watch the recorded ones |

i think we should wait b4 jumping into the bandwagon
lets astro and some newbie test out the system first or if u really wan the recording function, go for the rm5 option cause u use your rm300 to buy the HDD and if the new feature is not good enough, then at least u can use the HDD for some other purpose and the rm5 is nothing , u can afford to burn it to astro Added on June 2, 2010, 10:43 am QUOTE(klseet @ Jun 2 2010, 10:37 AM) Me too, that's why I really want to know which brand & model. i tot we only keep those ........... I've been using ext HDD, both 3.5" & 2.5" on various brands all these while, but so far I never encounter such scenario..... Because of no time, that's why need to record many things to view later when free mah I do keep my important recordings over the years, and I think I'll still been keeping & growing .... even those classic VCR or Hi8 video cam which I converted into DVD HDD those days ...... I like to watch & keep certain programs like NG, History, etc .... You know, getting older, need to watch again just to refresh memory mah This post has been edited by digilife: Jun 2 2010, 10:43 AM |

astro follows strict copyright issues
even when u use the external HDD to record on Byond 1, u cannot even playback on Byond 2 |

QUOTE(agingamer @ Jun 6 2010, 07:56 PM) i was told during the Midvalley roadshow that I must be subscribed in order to ACCESS my recorded programmes. yes as all recordings belongs to astro I was told that I won't be able to access all my own recorded programs when - I am no longer subscribed to the channel (eg Sports) or - I am no longer on the PVR monthly subscription. Dunno true or not? |
