Yes, you're right.
But, with PVR, you can record one channel while watching other channel.
Or record two channels simultaneously but you will stuck with one channel that you're currently record.
I don't think that you can fill up 500GB space on B.yond PVR so quickly...
I have recorded about 30 programs on my B.yond PVR, mostly in SD.., and 5 in HD if i' not mistaken.., but I still have about 200 hours free recording space.... 

i already have byond.i am interested with byond PVR.now i am hesitating to choose between upgrading byond by adding external HDD or upgrade the whole unit.because if byond,u can change HDD when its full if u dont wanna delete ur recording but PVR cannot as it only use its internal HDD u like it or not need to delete some am i right?

i see.i hope in near future they will add extra harddisk function.

so far i think the best HD channel is AXN HD as their program usually in 1080 format

not really that great... the moment they play chinese mtv with some disco lights u see a lot of pixels... OUT!.. though their tvb dramas, lets say a lot of slow motion is alright.... =/

i get you ... even astro's own channel, like WLT... it got blurrer and more pixels... obviously they have reduced the resolution and bitrate.... sucks!

i think so too.although they claim SD should be better than normal astro

Any opinion on this device? Will it work with Astro Byond?

I have tried this, I disconnect the first cable and let only one cable go through it., and no signal at all can be received by PVR.... 
But when I tried to connect the old decoder (not Byond one, normal SD decoder), and it can received the signal... signal strength also very good! I got 78 for AGC..

Sorry to dissapoint u bro..but no EPL on ESPN STAR SPORTS..all moved to Astro's crappy Supersport channel..just watch ESPN and Star Sports promo for August, no mention of EPL or the Champions League qualifiers..only community shield match..and astro arena announced Liverpool vs Arsenal on Supersport..so yeah..pretty much confirmed we gonna get AStro cheap in house presenting EPL..

4 those of u who know about football matcg timing..have a think about this..before this on a Saturday night Malaysian time u had..

7PM - EPL ON ESPN

10PM - EPL ON ESPN
- EPL ON STAR SPORTS
- BUNDESLIGA ON SUPERSPORT

12AM - EPL ON ESPN
- LA LIGA/SERIE A ON SUPERSPORT
- LIGUE 1 ON SUPERSPORT 2

2AM - LA LIGA/SERIE A ON SUPERSPORT N SUPERSPORT 2

Now the biq question is one of the these leagues will become victim of Astro putting EPL on Supersport..they can cram and show everything now could they? or instead of 4 EPL matches each night we are only gonna get 1 or maybe 2? gonna be some big changes i think..
