I just dont know why Discovery HD is not in the list yet. Fox sd is on 710 how abt 714 then ? There seems to be one HD on TEST. Among the 3 HD channels to me AXN was the only one worth flex.gif

I applied the day they lunch at Mid Valley, they only managed to install for yesterday night.  You have to wait for your decoder to download the new software in order to able record HD properly; without the latest software update, it will not play the recorded HD channel properly.

Anyway Astro still have lots of work to do for PVR, they should learn from Microsoft or TiVo for function such as record all series / search for title, actor, director….

AXN HD is really nice, but FX suck!!!! 4:3 for HD channel… give me a break!
*
Record all series is there but not active I think we hv to pay for selected series we want hmm.gif
Agreed AXN HD is the best next to NGC now ! nod.gif

Glad that's the case then. Another thing bro justin, occasionally the channel info banner pops up randomly on its own on my byond pvr. Noticed that with the standard byond decoder too previously. The twilight zone?
Also, on the other hand, i'd prefer if a confirmation dialog comes up when the record button is pressed on the byond pvr. Currently, it starts recording instantly and i had to stop and delete quite a few unwanted recordings due to my son's inquisitive nature. hehe. I remember, we had a confirmation when we press record with the old max decoder. Just a suggestion and thanks again bro.
*
Another thing as i had said earlier the box should go to the nearst channel CORRESPONDING to the number pressed then to display CHANNEL NOT AVAILIABLE ! If I press 823 the set shld go to at least 801 !

yup... same to me in my area... I wonder why people are not changing their astro to byond... I know they have some big big TV inside their houses...

I think that is probably why Astro are not very fast in adding new HD channels... cos not many people are subscribing to byond...
*
Its due to costs I think . xtra RM20 ,then HD channels are split and put smartly in each pack so hv to take all packs like me my bill has touched RM150 n after WC I hv to cut sports and save abt RM30 ! HD fees RM20 is ridiculous a HD pack pricing wld be fair instead hmm.gif As time goes HD wld become no big deal anyway cos of the type of channesl we hv and the upscaling which we see, infact most of us who took beyond are almost fed up nod.gif

Ok got V.20s now, sound issues is gone but still any way to get the picture via the component outputs?

Reason is the HD content is really great and clear but the other normal channels picture quality is worse now via the HDMI.

Before I was using the S-Video cable the older decoder and the PQ was much better for normal content.

Anyone using both HDMI for HD content and Component for SD content?
*
Well pal its about the same for SD not much difference I suggest use HDMI and slowly get used to it using two cables is a nuisance esp if u connect to HTS, we have 15yrs xperience watching VCD quality SD anyway ! rclxm9.gif

I think you mean composite cable not s-video cable as my byond does not have s-video port. Anyway you can get picture for both ports without removing one another?
*
My xperience composite and HDMI can but component could not. only one at a time and there isnt Svideo port for all Beyond . BTW Mine is a full HDTV hmm.gif

Lets put it this way If you are a hd subsriber paying RM20 for HD then its only fair you can acess all HD channels and not vide packs cos if you take sports and pay 20 then its unfair right just to pay for 2 sport HD channels ! nod.gif

Guys is this recording fee a common practice in other countries ? Let us say they charge a fee is it for recording everyday scrap or for exclusive series on one go ? I think its unfair to impose RM10 above the normal subscription and HD fees to just record the same content we paid for watching. flex.gif If we can gather more info we can take this matter up further. I feel it is NOT fair to charge for recording for personel use hmm.gif This issue is like : mama dua masalay !!!!!!!!!!!!" rclxm9.gif Perhaps our singapore friends can share some info too nod.gif

I think its Simply cos there is no HD signal input, once HD signal is input automatically ur Tv wld detect it. If U hv a LCD HDTV why not try Beyond HD>? flex.gif
