Please help to check your current software version of PVR. I'm not sure whether mine is the latest version.

I did checked on next Tuesday's program and it show no information available and I can't record it. It seems like my PVR doesn't have 7 days schedule.

Just called them. I applied on 1/6 ,confirmed on 4/6 and my order sent out on 10/6  according to CS it means 10 working days from date of order sent out, hope that clears all confusions. Not 10 days your order is confirmed but 10days from date of order sent out so I have to wait until 20/6 flex.gif
*
10 days is not a confirmed waiting time. It depends on your luck and your area as well. Some get it faster e.g. 5 days and some can't get it after 10 days.

I called them again on 12Jun and this time they tell me that it would be installed on 14th or 15th Jun. I dont know whether she told me this to pacify me. Its a very frustrating experience as different CS will tell me different things.  doh.gif

U can get a more certain date if your decoder already assigned to a Installer. My PVR was assigned to an Installer on last Wednesday and the Installer collected it and installed on Thursday.

Try to ask Astro for Installer phone number if possible.

*
Good then! Try to call him for an appointment. If he is free tomorrow then he can come and install it ASAP.

I guess you will love your new decoder. Software much stable, much responsive, smaller size, more accurate recording, more capacity and it will show the remaining hours that you can record.

Have you noticed the EPG is now offset by 3 or 5 minutes to reflect the delay setting of the channel. Should help a lot with recordings.
*
I have noticed that certain channels' programme guide are not upto seven days. For example, I have tried to record the weekend's program on Saturday and Sunday. It seems like I can't see any programmes after this Friday. How to update the channel guide?

Justin, is the software version exactly the same with old B.Yond? Mine is v2.0s2 (1.0.0.001 May 21 2010).

Is the software version number are exactly the same between PVR and normal B.Yond?

QUOTE(hamikangtao @ Jun 15 2010, 04:48 PM)
Hi Guys, hope you all can help me. My house previously running on Astro Max and I just installed Astro Byond PVR yesterday. I have 3 HD Tvs in different locations of the house and previously I use a RF booster to transfer the signals to all the Tvs, but they all have to watch only one channel at a time.

For this Byond, I was told that only the TV connected to the decoder has the HD signal, the others have to watch shows which are worst quality than without Byond. Is there a way to send the HD signals to other tVs as well. There must be a way to do it because I don't think Mcdonalds have One HD decoder for every TV in its premises?

Please advice, appreciate it.

hamikangtao, I'm guessing you could use a HDMI splitter and split it as such to your TVs. Stumbling blocks would be distance/cable length and not being able to control channels from other rooms though.

Also, I have a question of my own to add.
Right now, my astro satellite cable is nicely concealed in the wall already. If I upgrade to byond, will they have to change to new sat cables along with the dish, or can I reuse the old sat cables? It would be a royal pain to have to re-do all the cabling...
*
You may opt not changing the concealed cable for B.Yond. But for PVR, you have no choice.

Do they guarantee RM20? Or is it until April 2011?
I'm very tempted to get Astro Byond but none of my family are even talking about it. They're very content with what they have now, but today I saw Byond on McD and I'm like WHOAA SO THIS IS HD WHOAA. Good marketing strategy, I think, cos I'm convinced to get HD now.
*
RM20 / month with 1 year contract. But it will run as long as you want HD.

Hi, I can receive Fx HD and AXN HD but not the Zhizhun (310).  Why?  Is it because I don't subscribe to Dynasty?  I thought they are letting all B.yond users to test out all the 3 channels free for awhile?  doh.gif
*
Zhi Zhun is only available for B.Yond + Dynasty users.

I just take a look on Astro Zhi Zun Hd's schedule for these few days.
Seems like just 4-5 programme that keep repeating in a same day.
Astro trying to earn more money smile.gif
*
Not really! They did not charge you extra beside the standard RM20 HD fees.

Yes! I hope they can include more shows, movies and etc. I think Astro Star Quest will be live in HD and view on this channel.

I saw one yesterday night about midnight or something on Astro Supersport channel.. Quite funny ad with those people (4 to be exact) with their heads replaced with the "Play, Pause, Rewind, Record" icons.
