Topup BigPay using credit card. Then transfer to SG bank account. You can't transfer if amount inside bigpay less than what you want transfer.

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Oct 22 2019, 10:56 PM)
You can only use cc to topup max RM10k/month.
*
cc top up limit is RM10k per month only. So other top up needs to be from debit cards.

from CIMB MY. In my case, the same name.

if you're using a third party transfer, then you'll need to inform them.

using cimb telegraphic?

what is your rate?

No third party transfer is allowed for account activation. They wont activate for you unless you transfer from your own account.

i can see SG CIMB account in msia CIMB click portal, but can't do any transfer money out from SG CIMB account. the initial 1k deposit is from my brother SG bank account.

Can they activate for you if it is third party?

i am not sure if my SG account activated or not. i can see SG account in Malaysia CIMB click portal, status is active, with 1k initial deposit. but i can't transfer out that money to others account, system don't allow me to select SG account. i am not sure is it due to my SG account still consider not yet activate or i have to register another login with Singapore CIMB click portal, then perform the transaction via  Singapore CIMB click portal. i already dropped an email to CIMB customer support, waiting their feedback.
*
once your SG account is activated, they will sms you the activation code or something to create user ID and password to login to CIMB clicks SG portal

I wish to know what most of you guys do with your funds in Singapore. Just leave in FD, which is not much and hope for currency to appreciate?

I'm already trading SG Reits through local bank and US stocks using TD Ameritrade SG, so pretty much covered for those. Looking for other options. Maybe go for Priority banking and get RM to invest in some products? Not convenient for me to travel to Singapore regularly, so online options will be best.

If anyone willing to share ideas, apppreciated.

thanks for recommending InstaREM, just created an account today, pending verification now.

previously i'm using transferwise, i guess instarem would be another good options.
will try to compare both and see which one give me the better rate (as in amount received) when i need to remit/transfer money

InstaREM can be verified via online or must present?
