QUOTE(Hansel @ Apr 26 2018, 12:13 PM) I'ma private banking client myself,... in a few banks. Actually, except for one bank, most of the private banking services can't really help us invest effectively. I can do better in investments than most of them,... at least till now,... since 2005.... I think no need to put into private banking-lar,... just follow this forum,... talk to people nicely,... read the right materials, can do better,.... true. just follow advise from members here and also from Bro Hansel

QUOTE(Hansel @ Apr 26 2018, 12:06 PM) Actually,... this statement is not truely accurate,... sorry,... to me,...it's okay if MYR depreciated against ANY CURRENCY of the world, PROVIDED the cost of goods and services in the country DID NOT INCREASE. Right ? My family is in Australia, now the AUD weakens vs the RM and SGD, BUT the price of goods and services in Australia now did not increase !! So, no issue, right ? so nice to be in Australia. Boss, are u in Australia as well or Msia ?

QUOTE(Showtime747 @ Apr 20 2018, 11:01 AM) I thought this thread is for the masses, ie. not talking about Priority banking opening account in Sg. If a person is eligible for priority banking, that is another approach. Heck if you are also eligible for priority banking or even better, private banking in Sg, that is another approach. Your wish is their command. Just ask the Sg RM to fly to Malaysia and meet you at your office. What problem to open a Sg account for Malaysian if we talk about Priority or Private banking ? We don't need this thread anymore very true. if got $$$ then the approach is open door to you. if limited $, then they will scan u like alien entering their country.

QUOTE(Hansel @ May 1 2018, 02:48 PM) Actually, even if an RM comes to yr doorstep to open an acct for you,... it's still not that good, because you are then under him/her, being in a nominee account,... I would prefer to be a direct owner of my holdings, with my own CDP Account Number. Then I will control my own fate,.... I m not PB yet. Sob sob

QUOTE(Reventon @ Jun 7 2019, 10:56 PM) You are holding what type of visa in thai or entering thai with visa exempt ? If visa exempt then i dont think you can get an account easily. You can get it if you are lucky enough to get their branch manager to sign up for you by purchase the investment insurance about 10k++ per annum. If you can speak thai then it does help a little. entering with visa exempted. anyway, the bank said ask me to be PB in Msia. then i may get an acc in Thai. will consider to do that. but considering that, why would i have an acc in thailand. do u guys invest in there Unit trust / shares ? can advise / share abit.

QUOTE(blasto @ Jun 19 2010, 01:10 AM) Just to share I went to SG & open Maybank account years ago. Very easy, passport, IC, SGD 200.00/500.00 (forgot) The reason open a/c ... to transfer paypal funds, coz last time Malaysia no paypal. nowadays it is very stringent in opening an acc in Sg. unless u bring big chunk of $$

QUOTE(Hansel @ Aug 11 2019, 12:46 PM) Bro,... I htink with big chunks of money will be more stringent, especially if you are a Msian. They would want to chk your background, source of funds, Tax Identification Numbers, etc,... of coz suject to your background check also. usually, it takes like 30 min to open an acc. din really see what kind of background check they did.
