remember to subtract RM5 when u compare moneymatch (RM10000 becomes RM9995)
and subtract RM1 when u compare sunway money (RM10000 becomes RM9999)

these 2 will add-on those amt separately as service fee

maybe you performed ekyc too long ago (or their database died and all old customers need to redo. my theory only). i only need to do ekyc once. already transferred via moneymatch twice already

ceo684 use CIMB SG->CIMB MY during office hours.
in fact i noticed on some occasions, CIMB sg wants to buy your SGD more expansive than midvalley money changers selling SGD

can convert back to MYR, then take that MYR to buy back physical SGD in midvalley (ignore the impracticality of depositing the midvalley SGD into sg bank acct again)

kinda like "Ziet Invests" cimb sg videos, where his info is correct at the moment of youtube video release. but as time goes, his info goes outdated and he doesnt bother update it.

judging from his recent video posting, he's probably trying to pivot to general investing content (can't blame him, a youtuber needs to create content to gain traffic. can't always post the same (but updated) stuffs)

if RHB Sg->RHB My SGDMYR internal transfer is as competitive as CIMB Sg->My, i'll slowly move over to RHB. CIMB My banking experience makes RHB My feel respectable (i have both My savings acct).

However, the need to visit RHB sg means moving over will take ages for me. probably another deal breaker

Bad news, account opening requires a valid work/ student/ dependent pass

RHB Singapore isn't opening doors to Malaysians

haha when i closed my dbs acct this year, the bank officer subtly hint that once i close, hard for me to reopen due to lack of "reasons" to be in sg... doesn't matter just close it. don't see a point in maintaining min balance

Super2047 are you willing to call CIMB sg to find out? i really can't find info on this. FastSaver & StarSaver seems to also require that you bank-in via SG's DuitNow or through CIMB MY so some online steps still required

i gave them my malaysian StashAway monthly statement (that time, haven't purchased any shares in IBKR acct yet, so I don't think an empty IBKR acct will be of any use), no "investment in sg". approved without any hiccups.
only transferred S$1 from CIMB MY, the rest via Wise
