i need some opinion/advise from all sifu here.

i just upgrade & activated 1Mb streamyx package to Blockbuster 4Mb package by TM last week.

the weird thing happen if i use the router (TM6841G) given by TM always can get 4Mb~4.3Mb randomly each connection and dl speed can reached 400~450KB but have one issue is the router will sure hang randomly in one to few hour and no connection at all. i try to call the TM technician to change the router and the result also same.

If i switch back my existing router Aztech DSL605EW (support up to 26Mbps) will no such problem even running more than 48 hours but the router detect my port at 2.6~3.2Mb max.

May i know the problem is the router or my port.
Any comments/solution from yours is appreciated.

Just upgraded to 4MBPS today. Technician came to my house, upgraded my line, then the DSL light straight off. Until now no connection, leeching on my iPhones 3g connection to surt net. Haiz =.=

Hoping for 4mbps today, now become 0.

Anyone had this problem or have any idea how to fix this? Technician also don't know what to do, he say go back call HQ.

Before he come, my 1MBPS line very good and stable
He say if jumper problem or anything the DSL usually will blink, but now not even blinking! Totally off. Someone help me

technician come to setup 1st time... ask me reset the modem after 2 days. i just did it right after 2days and test the speed
from my modem info :
Line Rate - Upstream (Kbps): 507
Line Rate - Downstream (Kbps): 4096

latest test

so need to call them right...

may i know what is the average 4m speed suppose to be?

I jsut found out that my downloading speed is way below average.
I read on a few posts already where people with lower mbps speed than mine get a higher download kbps more than me.

Im using 4mbps.
Usually when I download from RShare, it's speed is around 100kbps MAX. Same goes MUpload, FServe etc.

I always found it strange to spend 5-6 hours downloading a 800mb file from MUpload. While when I used 512kb, it took 8-9 hours and Im supposed to be using 4mbps now, which is almost 8 times faster than last time.

And in my Australia house, we used a 3-4.5mb internet speed and it always took me 1.5hours only to download a 800mb file from Mupload.

Try to change ip range disconnect n reconnect speed may change :-)

if you download from all of them?
i thought the more you download, the slower it gets.
oh well, now I need to find movies to download from RS,MU,NL and HF so that my download speed becomes faster.

which plan are you subscribed to?
Im using 4mb streamyx.

it sounds really complicated or maybe because i have never heard of that term before.

reboot router?
is that another way of saying configure modem?
i had to reset my modem a few times.

but the problem with this method is, have to wait for quite long to start another download once you cancel it.sigh
