just got 4M for my CoolUni pack today.....the speed is now around 150kpbs~170kbps...wtf???

I thought it was suppose to be around 5M or above???

The technician guy said the speed will come gradually after 3 days...is that true, guys?

Added on July 5, 2010, 9:35 pmIP starting with 218 seems to get me a very fast speed albeit fluctuating around 300~400..max cap at 450kpbs.

The installer also activated my 4M package. So, just wait and see.

wanna check with you guys here...
are you using the RM268 4Mbps package or the Blockbuster Package at RM140?

Been thinking of getting a 4Meg line (using 1Meg now paying RM108 per month for 1MB + phone line)...

CoolUniPack 4M package RM88.

hi guys, wanna ask
earlier tm technician came to my house, btw i applied 4mb unipack
then he said he wanna test first if my house can support 4mb
after a few testing he said my house cannot pass for 4mb even 2mb as well
so, i wanna ask, is my Line Attenuation ok?

No problem with your line attenuation, but SNR margin too low.

Hi anyone,

After successfully upgraded to 4Mb package, although my download speed through Megaupload speedtest.net can reach 4xx kb/s speed, but my SNR margin dropped to 17 and sometimes 18. Why?

Is there anything I can do to solve the problem?

It's normal.

The increase of bandwidth is directly proportional to the transmit power strength thus the drop in SNR value.

If you've seen VDSL2 modem config screens, you'll notice very low SNR values even when you're just a few hundred metres away from the switch/DSLAM.

But, do you think it is possible for SNR dropping from 31.x (previously SNR 31.x when using 2Mb package) to 17/18? I think it is not possible drop that much just because of upgrading, right?

TMCorp admitted throttling connections via BRAS so they are changing the settings tonight . Tested in most areas they already applied this for FTP Connections it would effect 4 Mbps users since it has been set to 150 kB/sec to 200 kB/sec max as u should get around 400 to 550 kB/sec

Just curious. How you get such information?
