i run into trouble when trying to install Archive::Zip on RHEL3, the error message returned is

Makefile:88: *** missing separator. Stop.

can anyone explain why this is happening? i really need to install this module to install Amavis.

when i run makefile.pl i said cannot locate pod2man but pod2man is already installed on the system

#perl Makefile.PL

Warning: I could not locate your pod2man program. Please make sure,
your pod2man program is in your PATH before you execute 'make'

Just as it says... pod2man isn't in your PATH. Check your $PATH environment variables

# echo $PATH

and verify the path to pod2man

# which pod2man

Is the path to pod2man in $PATH?

BTW, try using CPAN to install the Perl module. I find it very handy -- saves me time downloading and typing "make" especially if I have a long list of modules to install.

# perl -MCPAN -e shell

found the solution, change the LANG to en_US

 

Change to:
| Lo-Fi Version
0.0143sec    0.37    5 queries    GZIP Disabled
