install perl module

i run into trouble when trying to install Archive::Zip on RHEL3, the error message returned is
Makefile:88: *** missing separator. Stop. can anyone explain why this is happening? i really need to install this module to install Amavis. |

when i run makefile.pl i said cannot locate pod2man but pod2man is already installed on the system
#perl Makefile.PL Warning: I could not locate your pod2man program. Please make sure, your pod2man program is in your PATH before you execute 'make' Writing Makefile for Archive::Zip |

found the solution, change the LANG to en_US
