if your GC is too awesome, the fps of the game will go too high till theres screen tearing issue. thats why you need to enable vsync.

Have you tried much gaming on it? I have a friend interested in the M11x R2 with the i7-640UM but I wanna know if it can run games well. Games like COD MW2 or BFBC2 or Those like Mass Effect 2 and WOW or Splinter Cell. Just gimme some numbers and I'll try to digest it. Trying to get a clue besides reading reviews online which I will....
I've found Display Port to HDMI converter cable for around RM50 at LowYatt plaza same floor at VIEWNET. IIRC its the shop which has a huge LCD Hanging in front of it always playing either games trailers or game demos.....

i think pic amp is too expensive and not suitable for gaming purpose..i would stick with SB 5.1 since AW is gaming purpose laptop

I've actually DIY-ed myself a pair of red-blue or to be precise red/cyan anaglyphic 3D glasses plus with the Stereoscopic 3D player... now enjoying HD videos in 3D~ but just wondering if thr's any improvement with a 120Hz monitor~  I know AW has the 3D montor... but it's expensive~
