wanna ask, i'm still new with the laptop. enjoyed it very much. finished Modern Warfare 2 yesterday and it was awesome. look even better then the ps3 version. lol. got some Q though.

1. cant help but notice the battery indicator at the back of the laptop (m11x), the one next to alienware (writen in alien alphabets), is it working/ lights up when disconnected from a power source?

2. does the left side usb port charges phones, etc when the laptop is turned off?

how's the drivers performing bro? any issues yet?

has anyone bought/ applied skins for m11x(s)? just wondering...

have been wondering, my M11x last about 3 hours plus on Balanced battery setting... is it normal? the advertised 8hours under what setting?

3 hours plus with integrated graphics, not with 335m on.. hmmm.. hope its not a battery prob..

my R1 with no OC ran good exactly 1 month today. games that i play currently:

1. DA: Origins - mixed of high and medium settings, native resolution
2. DOW 2 - mixed high and med settings, native resolution
3. RE: 5 - high settings on Dx9 highest resolution in game setting
4. Far Cry 2 -mixed high n med setting, native resolution.

i follow these rule of thumb while gaming:
1. turn off shadows
2. medium physics
3. try to utilize native resolution = turn off anti aliasing
4. max out shaders, details combo.

unable to utilize FRAPs as from what i've read at notebookreviews.com m11x thread, it slows down system while running at the background. all games are playable frames per sec (i'd expect it to be >30 fps).

ok guys.. i dont know whether this particular guide has been posted but here is the guide for M11x R1 users utilizing latest 258.96 drivers from nVidia.. the guide was taken from here http://forum.notebookreview.com/6138260-post40.html ... i've tested it for a day now, no problem so far.. haven't got time to do bechmarking.

yup.. AlienWorkshop was a crazed brand in late 90's man.. it got everything covered from pants to wallets.. so old dawgs saw my little m11x made a joke about it. hahaha. " dah keluar balik ker brand AlienWorkshop ni? ingatkan buat pakaian jer.." hahaha.. yeah.. even got glow in the dark t shirts back in the day. lol...

yo guys, do you think dell covers the hinge prob? if they do, they'll replace the whole system or just the monitor? its my m11x .. its my right monitor hinge.. only happens when i close the laptop lid.. btw, i'm in Kch..so how long does it take for dell to service it? thx...
