i for one would prefer Alienware go all out with the M11x. Screw the battery performance and put in the best of the best in it. I want the performance of a M17x in a netbook form.

well, until Dell puts in M17x specs into a M11x form factor i think it's not a worthwhile upgrade...since only the processor is upgraded.

yes, Dell Malaysia is the first to update the M11x rev. but i expected more than just a processor upgrade.

no problems here. Oc'ing on A04 since it was released.

my m11x keeps dropping my WLAN connection. whenever i streaming or transferring stuff from my desktop pc to my M11x via WIFI, midway it loses its connection. the WLAN graph bar on the taskbar will show a little exclamation mark there, saying no connection. however if i only do normal surfing and download from internet, it rarely happens. is this a hardware or software problem?? or maybe i should just call dell to fix the problem?

my own home wifi. i don't think it's setting problem. i run torrents almost 24hrs a day. desktop and laptop no problem with that. but when i do more hardcore stuff, like streaming online videos or streaming movies or transferring files from my desktop to laptop, it's smooth at first, but after a while, i lose the connection (even if windows still says i'm connected). that's when i get that exclamation mark icon on my wifi taskbar.

will dell replace my wlan card if i tell them my problem??

i'm using the latest beta drivers and made the hybrid drivers using ur previous method and it works. but make sure u download the latest hybrid drivers from Dell first, then only replace the nvidia files.

beta version 258.96. but download dell's latest gfx drivers first for the m11x r1, or it won't work.

tried it with the latest whql drivers, but it was with the older drivers from dell bvack then. it didn't work. never tried with the latest drivers though.

as long as it works, we're all happy. at least i dun have to envy those ppl with their M11X-R2 and their Optimus.

EDIT: make sure u update the HDAudio folder also, coz i think Nvidia updated theirs too.

just want to let u guys know that the DIY gfx drivers for M11X R1 will work with the latest 258.96 WHQL Nvidia drivers. i think no difference from the beta version.

lol...lksing78 is a LYN forummer and frequents this thread. i've already tested 258.96 whql drivers with DIY hybrid drivers and they do work just fine.

wow...M11X-R2 really does suck (or maybe it's just Optimus)

Starcraft 2 runs just fine on my M11X-R1 on Medium - High setting. no lag whatsoever. giving me at least 25-30fps, even with multiple units filling the screen.

yes, zalman coolers da bomb. i'm using NC1000 in my office with my M11X. not much different from NC2000 (they just switch the USB port positions).

i am. no problems so far.

i have absolutely no problems playing Starcraft 2 with mixed medium/high settings. no lag even with multiple units on screen. ultra might be a little too much to handle (i get less than 25 fps at most times). however, i'm using M11X-R1 and i heard that M11X-r2 has problems with its Optimus drivers, giving poor gaming results.

i suspect a hardware failure coming, most probably the RAM or HDD.

then they might not have done a proper repair job, or the replaced part is faulty again.

BSOD on Win 7 is hard to come by. then again, it might be just a simple software conflict or an improper driver installed.

if it's just a one-off error, but installs alright, shouldn't be a problem.

if not, as i mentioned earlier, i highly suspect a hardware failure of some sort.

main culprits are RAM, HDD, or GC. since urs is new, might as well get Dell to diagnose the problem
