as the pic states... the top one is called CPU Meter G3... right now there's a newer version called G5~ u can get it here~ second one is called System Information where it displays ur comp's hardware and the specs~ u can find it in the link posted previously~ as for the Intel CPU monitor... u can get it here~ fourth gadget is pretty useful... it's a CPU and RAM monitor plus a HDD and recycle bin monitor and also acts as an internet radio... get it here... GPU temperature monitor and volume tuner from OrbLog (link provided above)... and the Shut Down controller from here~ the bottom right is a Wi-Fi monitor called Xirrus Wi-Fi monitor and u can get it from MS Gallery~ the second on the left is a control panel to eject ur DVDs and CDs~ also from MS Gallery~

well... no laptop is perfect and it goes down to the person to see if he/she likes it or not~ as for me... I've seen that AW has gone a great leap forward since 2004 with it's first laptop the Area-51M~ and most of em were 'plasticky' compared to today's tough structure of the M11x, M15x and M17x~

Added on September 1, 2010, 1:42 pmI don't think memory matters much... as I see that 512MB is enough for me... but it's still better to have more la... 1GB should be good enough... what matters is the GPU clock speed~ as I've checked the standard GTX 260M runs on 550MHz on standard speed... (Crysis runs good enough) and it only consumes around 200MB of my GPU memory~ Mirror's Edge around 180MB... but as for the clock speed it goes idle at 200MHz when you're on battery mode or even when it's plugged in but for normal operation it still stays there... that is until some game kicks in then it goes full speed ahead~ as for me... I've OCed it to 650MHz to pump up that extra frames in games so that I can see how much I can push it~ but I just wish that Asus could make a mobile version of ARES so that we can see power lappie fragging with no lag at all~ (1.2GHz on a GPU like ARES is totally IMBA!!! )

yea... I OC to avoid throttling issues with the clock speed only... change the voltage and you'll get a ticking time bomb~

it just stays at 1.0V~ I dun dare to change anything~

Guys... I've just downloaded the A08 BIOS file.. and burned the ISO into a CD... but when I opened the file there's only one README file in there~ WTF!?

I tried copying it to my Kingston DataTraveler G2 16GB but the application refused to copy to my usb drive... tried another attempt on my 2GB one also refused to copy~ so guess I have to try the CD burning again.. but I'm out of CD-Rs~

yea la... the application pops out stating 2 choices of either to copy the files to a USB drive or burn to a disc ma~ I plug in my USB drive it formats it and then it hangs~

whoo... back from S'pore yesterday... saw the M15x in a comp shop in Suntec City Mall for SGD 2599~ i7 720QM, GTX 260 with 3GB RAM nia~
