There are Synthetic xW50 as well. Would be just as bad dragging performance as Mineral.

Yes. Using it. Mobil 1 5w50 rally formula. So far so good. Not as problematic as other 20w50. And definitely won't feel the engine's having difficulty lubricating. Last time I use a low viscosity FS oil. When the engine is damn hot, you can feel the car is just running in an aquarium or floating in mid space. Damn scared the oil become too low viscose. No choice have to change to *w50 oils. Now still looking for lub oils with low viscosity, but reliable, high heat tolerance and much affordable. blink.gif

4 cylinders engine normally take 3-4 litres, I have never seen before any 4 cylinder engine that only need 1 litre.  blink.gif

It's packaged for the consumer convenience of topping up lub oil

Correct. Superchargers do not face the same issue as turbo, it has it's own oil and does not recirculate the heat from exhaust back to the engine.

That would work only if your engine does not have a MAF sensor.

How about installing a MAF simulator? will it work? I know most cars have MAP sensor can work with the said method.

yeah, understood, MAP is measuring pressure while MAF is measuring flowrate. Understood, it will not work. What about putting it infront of the throttle body, after the intercooler? still will not work or it will not measure correctly?

But if the valve seals and piston rings are doing their job, there won't be much contaminants from the combustion chamber right? Even if there's some, won't that small amount may have been trapped in the oil filter? Just curious.

I'm with Huakenny. Different people have different take on this. Ran 4 years FS OCI 10k during my NA years. Stripped the engine to checked the engine component, it's still golden new and coated with lube. Oil pan also clean. My 1st attempt on Mineral lasted short.
