Guess what guys? I bought a Desire from Maxis without contract for RM2199. No need to wait till end of the month after all.

u guys noticed or not? i couldnt seems to find this settings:-

How do I increase my accuracy on the keyboard? 
You can increase your accuracy on the keyboard by calibrating the keyboard to be more suited to your tapping habits.

Tap MENU on the Home screen > Settings > Language & keyboard > Touch input > Text input > Calibration tool. Tap the given phrase and after you have completed the calibration, the keyboard should be more attuned to your touch screen habits.

lol.... there's no setting for it..
Actually it's already set...
For eg.. when you want to type "tru"
u press tru then it pops out a few choices... Tru, Try, Tri, Tau
It selects Try automatically, assuming you want to type try so if you press space bar it auto selects that..
IF you wanted Tru, just select tru then the keyboard saves the word so it "saves your typing habit"...
Next time you type tru, it'll select the tru 1st rather than try
You can check the words you added in the User Dictionary..
Understand? That's how the keyboard works...
EDIT: Calibration is just to calibrate your screen for a better touch experience, It's written there

actually i find that the thai portrait keyboard seems to have a bit fatter button and easier to type english as compared to the chinese keyboard... too bad no banana keyboard.. haha

If I'm not mistaken, there is a max capping at RM250 only for unlimited data per month.
You won't be charge any extra for that month after using until RM250.
Better check with maxis customer service for this confirmation.

I think the same can be said about the rest of them. I just switched from Digi50 to Smart Plan and I called them twice after 24 hours to double confirm my plan has been activated. Usually takes 1-2 days (48hours) to proceed with the plan.

so do we really have to pay since they haven't activated the data plan? i have the same experience here, i took the 500mb data plan for 12 months and got sms that my data usage is rm235., i'm a lil bit worried now.

when i 1st bought the phone at klcc,

i asked the staff there when will the data plan will be activated, then he said immediately. so i was asking again to double check then he said confirm immediately.

but rite now i've used around 190mb..oso scared might happened the same as u guys...did u guys get sms or u guys called the 123?

I got the same reply. the lady said activate immediately. so far havent receive any sms yet.

LOL.. Ive just realized that we cant check the data used on the maxis's web.. hahahaha.. ive formatted my desire and not installing any widgets/apps for data checkings.. lol.. nvm... 1st month i gamble.. next month i sure will keep track of everything.. huhu

btw, r the data counter accurate? which one is the best in your opinion (u guys i mean) .. and which one has the sexiest HS Widget..hehe

I am one of the earliest Desire owner. Got it from KLCC maxis on the 1st launching day    Been playing on this device for 3 weeks and beside the sound (especially ringtone) a bit soft, no complaint 

YES I guess so.   I checked from maxis website, my personal profile page and it stated I am on the 500mb data plan now. However, in order to confirm, I think have to wait the 1st month bill come out, which will be in 2 weeks time 

meaning to say the one u complained b4 is wrong? ur bill is correct and activated on the spot?
