QUOTE(akeen @ Jun 1 2010, 12:54 AM) is it vry vry sure dat we will be able to do app2SD on Froyo? YES - it is one of the major feature in this release. I have tested it on my nexus Added on June 1, 2010, 10:27 amQUOTE(Uchiha Itachi @ May 31 2010, 11:17 PM) Guys I am thinking to get a Desire soon but I heard my friend said that some applications/functions will not work in Malaysia, is that true...? If that's true then arent HTC selling crippled phone to Malaysians...? As far as I know NO such issue - all apps will work irregardless where you buy the phone. I think your friend mean the MarketPlace to buy paid apps - this is now no longer an issue as already resolved. It was an issue in the earlier release of the Androids eg Hero/Magic as Malaysia is NOT in the list of countries approved by Google to download paid apps. But now can be solved after rooting and installed MarketEnabler or MarketAcess both are freewares - just download installed takes only 10 to 15 secs and you can access paid apps paying it thro your Msian Credit Card This post has been edited by benny888: Jun 1 2010, 10:27 AM

QUOTE(Larrylow @ Jun 8 2010, 11:11 AM) hey ask you guys something, htc desire vs htc hd2, what you think? Maybe this will help you. I have make a comparison between the Google Nexus - manufactured by HTC ( which is similar specs to Desire and htc Desire is HTC version of the Nexus ) and HD2 at http://bennyleemn.blogspot.com/2010/04/htc...-nexus-one.html Added on June 8, 2010, 1:13 pmI see the last 1 day posting debating about Desire vs iPhone 4. Both are different. In Steve jobs words ( ... the Iphone is the BMW/Benz of phones while others are sedans ) when interview during the D8 conference - I feel he is being too proud here saying this. Anyway is his right n freedom of opinion. The iPhone 4 is great if you don't mind the limitations of customization and constrained by management of it thro iTunes This post has been edited by benny888: Jun 8 2010, 01:17 PM

QUOTE(td00164306 @ Jun 8 2010, 05:31 PM) That means... let say if i use a custom rom... i will need to have to wait the rom to update to 2.2, then i can install the updated rom with 2.2, is that what you mean? Then what about i install the stock rom? If you want to use a custom rom, you must root your phone first. Rooting will void your warranty. You can install the new update 2.2 by flashing the update zip file but before that you need to flash the stock rom first if you have earlier installed the custom rom. Check up over http://android.modaco.com/category/430/htc...ire-modaco-com/Here at this weblink you will learn how to root, install custom rom etc. Paul might builtup a zip file where you can flash directly without installing the stock rom. I haven't check this up yet. He did that for the nexus one

Some of my thoughts on Froyo FRF72 which I tested on my Nexus : http://bennyleemn.blogspot.com/2010/06/fro...uild-frf72.htmlYou should see similar improvements in the htc DESIRE which share similar specs as the Nexus. Paul of Modaco has released Froyo FRF72 for the desire : http://android.modaco.com/content-page/311...frf72/page/540/
