@applecyee & IXionI
you might need to pay some more (due to maybe under-charge) but definitely is won't be a big amount. smile.gif coz 1st semester fee is mostly charge there. smile.gif
certain course = university subject or elective subject (Pilihan Bebas,PB) or any subject in same faculty but different school (Luar Pusat, LP)
except major subject where you sure get the place, other might need grab yourself. but they do provide you menu to select subject (sometime is compulsory pick the PB/LP where make you no actual freedom in choosing others)

@mosfet83
agree. rm5 from ktm to ukm hostel (where free for taking ukm bus) and rm8 from hentian kajang to ukm and lastly rm15 from kajang to ukm (based on personal experience, may varies)

i cannot assure you true or false. but i would say majority that not native english speaker might have some problem to converse fluently. for me, yes i can speak, but maybe some pronunciation might not accurate and sometime not that fluent.
but if just simple conversation, i doubt the statement, because we have english course regardless which major you take (as a university subject)

@camoflush

@extrio
unfortunately to tell. using BM to study. if you read back, you know why. smile.gif but anyway, depend lecturer
@IXionI
mamak's or if you willing travel far, i think KL is not a prob by around 20minutes+ drive.
KTMB provide train shuttle from KL to IPOH or else the intercity link then. the cheapest alternative beside bus

if you have car drive, around 20+ minutes can reach KLIA liao. smile.gif

alternative beside taxi is..
UKM station(ktm) -> Nilai -> take bus go KLIA
UKM station(ktm) -> Bandar Tasik Selatan -> take ERL go KLIA
still UKM station(ktm) -> KL sentral -> SkyBus -> LCCT

by compare time, still drive / taxi the fastest.

about the fee.. let me explain some..
total tuition fee per semester is +-1.2k (depend on college and course), where the total credit hours is counted as a package, for FST student is RM600 regardless how many credit hour you take in 1 sem (where last time 1 credit hour is rm30), and the other surcharge like library, health care, college activities and etc. will make total around 1200 in 1 semester. [edited: sorry, left out the college/hostel room rate also count inside already]

and then, why 1st semester extra? coz of orientation week and some 1-time off surcharge like transportation service..

and by averaging, the whole study in 3 years will cost you around 7k~8k+

hope that clarify you

before 15 july to be exact. smile.gif

ok, ukm first class varies among faculty. but rumours that >3.5 or 3.67 or in between them. smile.gif
about the final exam result, you are bounded by the criterion that set by the lecturer, where some of them take consider into attendance, class participation, tutorials and assignment, presentation, mid-semester test and lastly main exam..

study in university the main different is you really need to study on your own, where lecturer is there to help you only. smile.gif if you were expecting they spoon feed you, then your result (you can imagine)
and some subject, the lecturer request you study some topic by yourself with extra reading from library or net.

lastly, the main different (at least for me) is, most of the time your will be work in group and have plenty time for you to do assignment (to train your time management? but if without properly plan, last minutes work = junk)

ok. let say time. one week, on average you will only have around 24 hours classes. - 8 hours per day for sleeping, you still have 88 hours to spend on other stuff. if let say, 20 hours spend on going to study, 10 hours for daily cleansing activities.. and you still have hell lot of time. smile.gif
do you think is possible to slot 3 hours out to involve in other activities?

a proper time management & financial management is really crucial here smile.gif regardless what or where you study..

lets say back truth, personally, i will suggest that you join which you are interest, at least you won't be bored in half way. and i don't practicing all the crap i was talking, i do junk work. tongue.gif , although sometime i do follow plan

(little to correct, depend on your course, mostly assignment&presentation will only have a few, and you will be in group generally. and won't like everyday activities, but when multiple work strike you.. then you seriously need to plan it well)

any extra charge afterward you can settle with your BIMB ATM card and matrix card at Ground Floor of Chancellery, Treasury Counter smile.gif hassle free..

@joscmh90
if you found any ragging, pls reported to vice chancellor or deputy vice-chancellor (Student Affairs and Alumni) or any university management to take action smile.gif
ukm have their circular letter that forbid about ragging smile.gif
and another source is The Star

shakehead.gif the only college not being mention is my college, kkm had being discuss before smile.gif
if you not going bring laptop, bring desktop also can XD (like me, both laptop and desktop)
and ukm have a quite a number of printing shop as well as cyber cafe, and most printing shop is connected to internet. smile.gif and you can just simply go print there (normal charge applied)
if you plan to bring laptop, keep it wisely let nobody know you bring it tongue.gif because you also will have no time to use it,like my orientation tat time, i only sleep around 1am/2am but have to wake at 5.30am (is that consider ragging?)
