QUOTE(astria @ Jun 22 2010, 01:07 PM)
Asus A42Dr, AMD N830 + ATi HD5470@RM2599
Dell Inspiron 15R, i3 330M + ATi HD5470, 2GB, Home Basic@RM2549

personally prefer A42Dr even though it's 14" and exceed the budget slightly... tri core is great for work...

maybe you can get i7 620M thumbup.gif

or just core 2quad sweat.gif
anyway.. Sager spec is depend..

it is customized laptop...

http://www.sagernotebook.com/index.php?pag...del_name=NP8690 << go to specs tab.. and you can see many variants..
however... for the price that stated by astria.. the spec is as follow
http://www.mucro.asia/index.php?/vmchk/Muc...8690.html?pop=0

can customizer there if you want[but of course the price would be different]

Up the budget more? Acer 5943G, i7 720QM + ATi HD5850 GDDR3@RM4799....
Though might be overkill for the game you mention....

a big different --> video RAM type.. GDDR3 / GDDR5
From notebookcheck website :
The 3D performance of the Mobility HD 5850 depends heavily on the used graphics ram. As long as fast GDDR5 is used, the performance should be between a GeForce GTX 260M - 280M in the high end segment. With DDR3 memory the performance should drop noticeably because of the 128 Bit wide memory bus. First performance tests by twisted-reviews.com of an Acer Aspire 5943G which is equipped with DDR3 graphics memory show only scores on a level of a GeForce GTS 160M.

for overall.. Dell SXPS 16 is nice...  warranty is really costly.. but its good..

well the advantage is the warranty..

by the way.. for Acer 5943G.. i dont know if it comes with 3 yrs warranty too
but HD5850 is slightly over HD5730  wink.gif

oh yea, i hav a question bout the dell warranty, is it international??
well, i am studying at australia now, & the price if i buy from malaysia is much cheaper compared to buy from here...

& my frend told me tat xps laptops gets very hot (at a much faster rate compared to others) while playing high requirement games...isit true??
