Hey there, my patience has been tested already. vmad.gif I don't really care if the neighbour on the above unit accidentally drop something on the floor, pulls the tables and chairs around during day time or even evening when people are still alert, but this neighbour of mine has been "too much". I have patiently "suck up" the noise for two months, since i moved in, and the noise is unbearable - because it only happens around 12-2am or 6-8 am when people are sleeping.

Do I need to approach the above unit first or do i lodge a complaint on them directly to the management office?

I've experienced this before .... wah was so angry cos i think the above neighhbor was playing mahjong or something in wee hours of the morning. Sometime i call security guard to tell them.

Sometimes they walk very heavy steps or tend to pull the chair or bed or whatever cr*p ....

Only rented .. now i moved out liao and bought top floor of condo to prevent such noise and toilet flushing sound in master room toilet. But got other problems oso .. sigh !

hi leongal,

ur predicament is the same as mine. the owner above mine has 3 children and the parents are rarely at home and the kids always seems to running all the time, pulling tables n chairs, dropping marbles etc...

wat i did was,i ask the security for help where i always call them whenever the noise upstairs become unbearable, this happen for about 3-4 times when they finally got the msg, altho they still do those things occasinally bt its at a more tolerable level...

and yeah, most of the ruckus happen during 1-2am and early morning... doh.gif

of coz not la
jus go ring the doorbell in day time.. if they deny it then just let it be(at least u told them and even if tehy deny it, hopefully that realize that watever they're doing is disturbing u), but if its repeated again then no choice but to walk intoyour management office.

i have the same issues with this type of ppl..what you do is:

1st. get a guard to go talk to them.

2nd. if they still don't listen, get a guard and you follow and talk to them.

3rd. go to management complain and ask them to issues a complaint letter/get the owner contact and tell the owner your problem (if the unit above you is a tenant)

mine was worse, every night they drill the wall, drop guli, pull chair/table nail some stuff..apa apa pun ada, this happen from 11pm till 4am. after talk to them NICELY, they have stop their action and another problem occur, my ceiling start leaking, in my kitchen then now in my master bed room @_@

damn bad luck don't know what they do..but the issues is fix after 2 weeks..

Eerie..If the unit above is empty, it will be more worst than having real ppl occupying it. What you gonna do about that? Get some medium to perform ritual in the unit? laugh.gif

Leongal i can understand if at 12-2am if the neighbour make noise then it can consider make complain but at 6-8am it is normal, you dont go to work or school smile.gif

Eventually, i beh tahan, go to the balcony and shouted "Stop Drilling" and "Stop" a few times. Then they stopped the work...
