if i take taxi from airport Kota Baru to Kuala Besut, whats the normal rate roughly? how long the drive?

if bus also how much from airport KB to Kuala Besut? Estimate how long journey?

Taxi is RM78 per taxi per way...its take 1 hour to Kuala Besut jetty.

Shuttle Van only RM30.00 per person per way...same as above.

No bus available direct for this route...you need go to Kota Bharu City then catch the bus to Bachok > Kuala Besut jetty...roughly will take 2 hour by hop on hop off bus.

For Shuttle Van transfer are provide by Travel agency only,you can booked with advance,payment can make later.

currently planning to go perhentian after my bali trip.luckly i'm from kuantan so should be not much problem.

Anyone know of any where to get bouquet of flowers in perhentian?

I'm thinking of a spontaneous trip at the end of this month.
Just want to kick back and relax.

Any suggestion whether I should pick redang or perhentian?

my opinion is perhentian kecil.

any chalets/resort in perhentian kecil that provides 24hr electricity and cheap accommodation in june? The best one i can find online is Arwana but thats on perhentian besar..

dear sifu, if i only take rooms like you all suggested in Perhentian Kecil, then how if want to go snorkeling? How much will it cost? Only me and my gf

Perhentian Island snorkeling trips with cost you RM40.00 per person will include equipment, 2-3 snorkeling site . 2 person should be no problem.

Just came back from Perhentian with the booking with Jeff @ De Penarik. Very good booking agent. Stayed at Coral View Chalet and I highly recommend this place only if you get the Seaview Deluxe or Garden Deluxe. Forget the rest of the room type. Diving with Universal diver is a blast. Swam with turtles, saw lots of fish. The water was so clear and the weather was superb (albeit abit too hot, but better sunny than rainy days). Saw black tip reef shark 3 times, manage to caught it in video once.

Perdana bus seats gave me back aches. I like Rengit bus too..good alternative to Perdana and their bus go later than other bus but still reach jetty by 6am.

The other day i was late at Putra station (9.30pm already) and only rengit bus willing to turn on their computer back and sell me a ticket.

Added on May 4, 2012, 1:38 amon another note i just went to Perhentian mid April (17-19) and water is surprisingly very clear for April!! Snorkelling was superb and i had awesome dive and night dive too...very grateful for a perfect weather..eventhough there's no nice sunset to see..overall the trip was nice.
tried staying at rock garden for the first time and it was OK.

Rock Garden - RM70 (fan room seaview) / RM130 (A/C). got cheaper room not seaview.
Shari-La standard room RM120, they have budget room too but i'm not sure of the price. some say better upgrade to deluxe room..but i've been there and standard is OK.

this is from my experience last month. Price may increase depends peak/non-peak season..

perhentian is boring at night, no activities, unlike redang. but the beach is awesome~
