P.S I dont know but what i heard speaker that are good for music might not be best for movies and vice-versa. So decide on your niche and go with it. blush.gif

I think if speakers are good for music it's likely they'd be good for movies. but not vice versa

thing is, speakers that are good for music is more expensive - especially if you want to get surround.

sorry to hijack but busybody to ask if spend more on main & centre but the surround use other cheaper alternative? will it be a big different/gap? while playing movie or music/concert?

i.e. : Dali ikon 6 as Front/main & Vokal 2 as centre but wharfedale diamond 10.1 or MS-903i as surround

another question, will normal speaker (Diamond 10.1) as surround  better or bipole (MS-903i) better?

this (better mains+dipole surrounds) will work just fine as long as you don't start getting into multichannel music - on SACD, DVD-Audio or Blu-ray - those need the same speakers all around.

Paradigm wrote something about surrounds - http://www.paradigm.com/en/paradigm/literature/surrounds.php

Speaker Placement for Stereo Music Listening
Best one I've seen is the Cardas Room Setup guide.

http://www.cardas.com/content.php?area=ins...ring=Room+Setup

Try it!
