Not necessarily. If you have a rooted stock SenseUI image, you wont have to go to vanilla android. There's a subtle difference between 'rooting' and flashing a custom ROM, although both process is interrelated.

Who dare to buy an Andriod phone if this keep on upgrading? Old devices can't seem to cope with the new version like G1 lol.......

this morning got a reply from google that non US Nexus One Users should be receiving an alert for upgrading to 2.2 in the next 2 weeks.Users with Nexus One issued for US market should be able to get the update faster, irrespective of their current location.

There is always the SERVICE CENTER

Dont want to upgrade yourself, just dump the set to the Service Center and wait 3 hours and go collect your phone. biggrin.gif

Of coz, if you bought AP phone, then everything has to be done by your own lah. You pay peanut of coz get monkey lah. Have to embrace the fact.

iPhone 3G doesnt get some feature in OS4.0(eg "multitasking") what do u think?? IMHO, technology keep moving, it's just human who cant cope with it, not old device

HTC is pull me back to think twice to buy Desire cos the upgrade 2.2 is end next year :s i bet Moto Milestone 2.2 ROM is coming soon before end of this year. screw HTC for this :S
