There's a new "unlimited" plan. Rm18 for 500mb. Exceed 500mb speed throttled. C/w free modem.

I just signed up and should be getting it Wednesday.

Planning to use it for my iPad smile.gif

hi, im new to maxis 3g and have doubt on it.
I'm currently using DIR825 loaded with DD-WRT and I plan to buy a HuaWei E372 and share the maxis line to wifi with this router.
http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/3G_/_3.5G#HUAWEI

I'm blur about u guys talking about the QOS of the Sim. is it smth like sim cap? different sim card have different speed limit?
If I use the E372, the sim speed limit will bottleneck the speed?
*
QOS of the Sim. is it smth like sim cap = yes

If I use the E372, the sim speed limit will bottleneck the speed = currently yes, cause not many areas have Dual Channel, and by Q3, most areas will be DC enabled and your speed should improve by logging onto a DC cell. actually buying into the future is a good choice as the impending introduction of LTE by DiGi in Q4 will spur maxis to offer DC to counter DiGi's LTE...so instead of buying a SC modem, why not buy a DC modem icon_idea.gif

btw, for hosting DVR which to choose?

thanks

celcom is super responsive although the QoS is only 512kbps, whereas maxis QoS is 8640

for browsing celcom is tops

for downloading maxis is unlimited

Where did you set your own DNS ?
You can set your own DNS under the APN profile portion in the Maxis Broadband software
*
set your DNS via the dashboard la wei...........

btw, use Google or Open DNS is the best
