QUOTE(ywkwy @ May 5 2012, 12:48 PM) hi, im new to maxis 3g and have doubt on it. QOS of the Sim. is it smth like sim cap = yesI'm currently using DIR825 loaded with DD-WRT and I plan to buy a HuaWei E372 and share the maxis line to wifi with this router. http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/3G_/_3.5G#HUAWEI I'm blur about u guys talking about the QOS of the Sim. is it smth like sim cap? different sim card have different speed limit? If I use the E372, the sim speed limit will bottleneck the speed? If I use the E372, the sim speed limit will bottleneck the speed = currently yes, cause not many areas have Dual Channel, and by Q3, most areas will be DC enabled and your speed should improve by logging onto a DC cell. actually buying into the future is a good choice as the impending introduction of LTE by DiGi in Q4 will spur maxis to offer DC to counter DiGi's LTE...so instead of buying a SC modem, why not buy a DC modem btw, for hosting DVR which to choose? thanks This post has been edited by digilife: May 5 2012, 01:12 PM |
