The Maxis shop is in Carrefour Subang Jaya.
Yes, it is not offered in Maxis website. This is the Raya offer from the shop itself.

my wife signed up for this package. without contract. my question is can the modem be used with another provider's sim?
*
Not sure on that. If you have other provider's sim card, you can try.
One more clause is that you must be a post paid Maxis subscriber for more than 1 year to enjoy the 3GB @RM48 per month package.

ya... post paid user... but if currently having other plans can change to it??
*
I don't think you can change it directly. But you can apply for a new one and terminate the old one.
5 months ago I subscribed to the 1.5GB package @RM48. The other day I subscribed to this 3GB @RM48 Raya Promotion and terminate the 1.5GB package.
I pay the same amount but get 3GB. I have to pay another RM100 for the activation fee and get a free modem.

i heard with no contract only suitable for those who has their own USB modem.

Because Maxis are giving free USB modem (E1552) to those who signed for a 6 months contract.

need to pay RM100 for activation fee only. if you want that USB modem without contract, add another RM100.
*
I don't know which package is yours but for the Raya Promotion,
1. There is no contract.
2. The USB modem (E1552) is free.
3. Only have to pay RM100 for activation.
4. For the first 5 months, the bill will be RM38 per month. On the 6th month, then only bill RM48 per month.
5. Get 3GB every month.

@cucubud, where do you sign up for this Raya promo? I called maxiss bb but they claimed it was by 'invitation' only & not applicable to existing maxis bb users. To me, it's pure crap. I can just terminate my existing & sign up for this. Yet, the CS fella was unhelpful, as tho if AK was a relative or what....*shrugs.

Personally, maxis always strive to personalise, which is good. But with the advent of forums, things get uncovered - easily. They've got to realise the gimmick of "just for u, ok?" hardly works anymore. Hey, come to think of it, it sounds just like celcom's advert, huh? Wake up maxis!

Out of personal xperience, whatever 'just for u' promos u get will be rolled out to the mass within 3-mths or so.

Dear voodoo8808,

Please read post #650 where I did mentioned Maxis in Carrefour Subang Jaya.
Please call that outlet to find out more about this offer.

I am not invited to have this offer. I stumble on this offer when I went there to pay my Maxis bill.

I suggest you call the number listed on post #650 to find out more.

If you terminate before the 6 month contract, then have to return.
If you terminate after the 6 month contract, then it is yours to keep.

i jz bought an old labby dell inspiron 1420. i found there is a sim card slot below the batt.

how can i config in order to enjoy my maxis board band if i put the sim card inside? pls help.tq
*
You need to make sure the sim card slot works. There are many Dell laptops has this sim card slot, but it doesn't work unless you buy the module to read sim cards.
To test out, slot in a sim card and see it it recognise the sim card.

That's what I did when I terminated mine. Just make sure yours has no contract or contract has expired.
