I have a house phone line and a Streamyx 512K internet line, bought the internet package when the time a house phone was needed to connect to the internet. I'm not at home all the time so I'm planning to terminate both accounts and buy a wireless broadband package. Did some quick research and seems like Maxis prepaid broadband is the way to go. You only top-up when you want to use, just like a Hotlink prepaid phone. What I'm confused is if I'm out of data and I want to top up, for example 7 days validity for 2GB of data at RM25. If I only did use for 3 days or less than 2GB, will the balance of data be forwarded to the next usage when it expires?

I notice that my notebook has a SIM slot, can I just buy the SIM pack, configure the settings like the one on Hotlink Broadband page and ready to go?

Guys, ever since last night I'm having trouble connecting. Whenever I plug in the USB modem, it'll just blink the green light. Can't connect or whatsoever. My location is Penang.
