did u attach properly the cooler contact with heatsink?

another problem is stock intel not so easily to attach

70-80c pretty high in idle.but if fully loaded seem normal.

Try setting your Vcore to 1.2 V You dont need so high Vcore for 3.6ghz. For me, I'd suggest you to change your CPU cooler. Running at those temps isn't good for your processor in the long run.

It's fully loaded.The temperature is so high because i was stress testing it.100% work load.The temperature during idle is around 40-55 Celcius.I will try setting the Vcore to 1.2 V The reason it is 1.36V because i set the Vcore to auto XD.And i hav no idea how to change or properly attach the CPU cooler XD

This is the temperature during stress test when i set the Vcore to 1.2V.I think it can be set lower....like 1.184V.And based on my current temperature,is it good if i OC it to 4.0Ghz?

Set the Vcore to even lower...1.187V and stress test using Intel burn test.No error found.So is it stable adi?Btw,the 60 Celcius is after the stress test.During the stress test,the temperature was...89 Celcius maximum

u are setting ur vcore as 1.87v now?? after lower it down lol.... try set to 1.3 and stress test again with the same cpu speed, if its passed the test then set the vcore 1 step lower than 1.3v then redo it, to find the lowest vcore it can get with that speed

Waaaa sorry sorry typing mistake!!It's 1.187V

Btw,it shows 1.187V in bios,but when i checked using Cpuz,it shows 1.2V

And it seems stable..though the temperature is a big high during stress test So if i continue OCing til 4Ghz with only CPU stock cooler..u think can ah?

advisable use a 3rd party cooler when u oc, heat is the biggest enemy in oc =)
also put a fan on top of ur ram to ocol them down

Oh..so 2 fans?But for now i think i will stick with 3.6Ghz first since i hav CPU stock cooler only

Keep with your current setup. Temp quite high for load already..If possible try getting the lowest stable Vcore for your system.

yes, if u are ok with 3.6ghz then its time to find the lowest vcore for 3.6ghz. after it is done, then its time for memory if u wan

Added on May 25, 2010, 6:26 pmEh,very weird..i set the Vcore lower until 1.181V in bios,but when i checked using Cpuz,it still shows 1.2V.Then i go as far as to lower the Vcore to 1.17V...the Cpuz still shows 1.2v.Weird

Really? So weird~Oh yea,in the bios settings,there's 1 thing call Load Line Calibaration.Wat's tat?

well its actually helps in maintaining the vdroop, u try to open a cpuz and observe the vcore during idle, then u try to run stress test, the vcore value shd change, thats called as vdroop, load line calibration enable will set that as fixed =)
