Fab must be so tired. Personally I can't blame him.
He is one of our longest serving players at this point and he has watched the team lose good players and deteriorate every season.
I would be quite saddened by his departure but then again he needs to win something.
You only get one career in life so if you've been waiting 6-7 years and it hasn't arrived, you might as well move on.

It most certainly doesn't get better than Barcelona so he might as well jump at the chance when he can.
I think that hammering by Barcelona must have made Fab do some serious thinking and reconsider his options.

it looks like buffon is going nowhere sad.gif

QUOTE

Gianluigi Buffon has no intention of leaving Juventus in the near future, according to his agent.

The Italian goalkeeper was strongly linked with a move away from Turin this summer. Reports in Italy claim Buffon could leave the Italian outfit after the World Cup and move to the Premier League.

But Buffon's agent Silvano Martina said: "I don't know what else to say with regards to Buffon as it seems that he is the only Juventus player who should leave.

"Considering the ongoing reports, I want to remind everyone that Buffon is under contract with Juve and that next season he will play at Juve.

"When he was asked hypothetically where he would want to play if he left Juve, he always said his first choice would be England, but there is nothing else.

"He never said he would leave.

"(Luigi) Del Neri is an intelligent coach and knows he can count on Buffon."

Del Neri is expected to be unveiled as the new Juventus manager later this week and already stated his wish to have Buffon in the team next season.

The 32-year-old Buffon is under contract with Juve until June 2013.

Looks like Fab will be joining barca this summer. He didn't say he wants to stay. Sell him for the d@mn >=40Millions!! Then use 12Millions on Buffon, 15Millions on Yaya Toure, and the rest, get a CD

No Choice... Arsenal doens't have enough transfer budget to buy superstars. We can only make/create superstars but not buying an existing one.

depends how u wanna look at him:

in financial management perspective, can any1 deny he is world ranking 1 manager, especially for past 1 decade?  blush.gif  tats d main reason why Arsenal board never ever made decision to fire him.

well, if talk about result... he failed because never deliver right result... even though this season slightly better compare last season; in overall, Arsenal is maintain but can't move forward, this is the truth if we follow current trend..

Now i got 1 question.. who wan billionaire foreigner buy Arsenal, invest tons of cash, join RM,Chelsea n ManCity shopping over crazy MEGA sales market? BUT it also never guarantee the right result...

OR remain eco-way and get some matured player transforme to competed team...

---out of topic---

for me, im no longer enjoy in watching football, i was an Arsenal fans(98-08), but now i've no feeling over football... lack of passion.. anyhow, only concern the Arsenal news.

I like your thoughts about the current football scene. Its bad enough that the rich teams are totally ruining the market. Its frightening to see the La Liga is conquered by two teams only, while the closest rival Valencia trail by a whopping 25 points to real madrid. I mean, what that makes for the other teams. Eventually, fans would dwindle down to only these two teams.

Then we look at BPL, where not only fierce competition is coming from outside the Big Four, but also debt. To be competitive, most english clubs spend more than they earn and trying too much to compete with big team salaries. Its frightening that a lot of english clubs are running out of cash and dropping like flies in the previous seasons.

I say Arsenal has it best because the board and the manager is looking towards the future and preventing what I call as doomsday for the football scene. How ironic is world cup that would supposeably raise the standards of the game, but at the same time inflate the cost of players and clubs. To make sense, when there is no balance and equality in the game, the lesser team will lose out in the race.
