QUOTE(amalost @ May 19 2010, 07:56 PM) I hate this, if we lose Cesc and Wenger don't make any necessary changes to the team, it will be the same ol'story. And somehow Spanish league will be more exciting than the BPL cause everyone going to Spain, wtf?Not surprising really because of the new tax system.

QUOTE(buzzfizz @ May 19 2010, 08:05 PM) Never liked the Spanish League mostly because theres no agression, everyone will just drop to the floor even if nothing happens. Eg the sending off of Thiago Motta against Barcelona. Seriously What the f*@$? Their TV camera angles and commentator also failed.

I hope we have key players that stay long enough in Arsenal like Lampard for Chelsea , Gerrard for Liverpool and Giggs for MU . The kind of players that define the team .
Oh .. and F*ck Barca , Madrid please overcome them next season .

If we do sell Cesc, i hope AW wont get youngster again. No point buying youngster to play with a bunch of average youngster and then sold any of the good youngster later on and rebuild again. We buy youngster, train them to be the best, win nothing, and sold them at only 30m (estimated fabregas price if he decided to go). A contrast to Man u whereby they buy ronaldo, win epl, CL and sold him for 80m. This is called money but too bad Man U is full of debt in the hand of Glazers. If Ars was owed by them and with the result we had, I cant imagine wats gonna happen. Well, this shows dat nothing is perfect. T.T

Well actually there's really no end to this. Barca will just openly tap up our players whether we win trophies or not...put it this way - when we don't win trophies, they say that Cesc should leave us and join Barca to win some trophies; when we do win trophies, they can just as easily say that now that Cesc has won some trophies with us, he should be more ambitious and join Barca to win more trophies. Like it or not, the media is just going to play along with it regardless of the situation.
Cesc has time and time again reiterated his loyalty to Arsenal and how many more times does he need to do that before we are really convinced that he's not going?
If anything, the apparent lack of faith shown by the fans towards Cesc might be the main reason for him to leave if he's leaving this summer. Calling ourselves fans when we don't even show faith to Cesc who has time and time again said he's going nowhere? What kind of support is that?

Well bro sakaito, seeing how the media is currently frenzying about Cesc leaving for Barca story, I wouldn't at all be surprised that the media baited him to talk about Barca. After all, the story about Cesc leaving for Barca and painting us as a sinking ship is miles more interesting than Cesc staying with us. That said, perhaps Cesc can learn a lesson or two about PR and avoid the bait. QUOTE Of course this was gold dust to any journalist looking for a simple story that could be replicated without work. Today has been a perfect example. Most of the broadcast media, and most media websites are running the Cesc to leave story, but when you look closely they are all using the same unattributed sources for Cesc’s statements.
You can also see this in the way BBC Radio 5 debate players leaving. Last week one journo on the site said, “Arshavin’s obviously going – he says so every week.”
In fact he doesn’t – the media says so every week. The media repeats itself, but this gives the half a dozen or so catastrophists who run the show the chance to find stories to run with. In other words the media creates the story, brews up a storm, and the player thinks, “this is ludicrous,” and so says, “look, I don’t need this media stuff, I think I’d like to leave.”
In other words the action runs:
Catastrophists make up a story Media pick up and repeat as if fact Player eventually has enough and leaves Put like that it is a total miracle that Arshavin and Cesc have survived this long. Pretty much sums up the current situation. http://blog.emiratesstadium.info/2010/05/h...gloom-movement/
